Big Ten Basketball

Howard's been decent. But has tailed off. Belein was obviously great.
Howard can't control himself, and aside from his own boys not doing well recruiting. I will pass

Michigan looks impressive, def underrated

But SJU is example 200 in the short couple years of open season........that just tossing together a completely random ass roster is not a smart strategy especially super early on even with a coach like Pitino.

B1G about to be down to one ranked team.

Illinois was pretty mehh tonight but I do think that team has a lot of potential.

Hawkins is a little Oso lite and has to make more shots going forward. But Shannon and Domask are great lead guards and they have a lot of size and length to support.

Still think they are a top 4 at worst BIG10 team.

But also Ill laugh in their faces at losses simply cause I still have spite for SJ76 acting like Andre Curbelo wasnt total dog shit.

Im happy with how Iowa played mostly

The only team in the B10 as good as Creighton is Purdue so if we play like this all year they should be a ok

Young team so the D should get better. Out was pretty solid first half and the last 10 minutes of the second half

B1G off to a rough start. Purdue, Michigan and Iowa look like the top 3 teams so far. Illinois probably 4th?

For most of that game there was zero interest by either team in playing D

But pretty impressive by Iowa to hang in there for the most part in a tough arena against a top 7 team

I was actually really happy with the D first half

Lots of steals and disruption. Good close outs

Reality is you can't really judge Iowas D ( or Creightons for that matter ) off how many points they allow because both teams play so fast there's going to be so many possessions youre just not going to allow 65 ppg

That said they got sloppy early second half and it cost them vs a really good team

Was happy they fought back into it though and the D was solid again the last 10 minutes

If they can get 40 minutes of that they'll be ok i think. Im really liking Krikke. Upgrade over Rebraca for sure

Yeah its tough to judge D in games like that when two teams are so good offensively.

But there wasnt much D to write home about. I will say most of my disappointment on that end was actually Creighton not Iowa though. That team can be a total wagon, but outside of Kalky(duh) not sure anyone else on that team prioritized defense at any point that game.

Agreed on Krikke, no clue anything about him but he looked very good.

Ben Johnson cannot possibly survive this. What a fucking hilariously awful coach

Fucking brutal. Jesus

Im not kidding that may have been the worst coaching I have seen in my entire life.

Especially the last two possessions.

Right in front of your own bench. Lets have the freshman in his 2nd career game who hasnt made a shot all night dribble down the whole clock up 1 and launch from 30 feet. Then down two and 10 seconds left. Let that same freshman bring it up the court and launch a long 2 for the tie.

Unreal

Yeah, it was pretty bad. The whole last 10 minutes was coaching malpractice. Ben actively decided to not do what got us the 20 point lead.

Dawson taking a casual stroll the first chance he gets to try out point forward was funny too.

TBH the lead was coaching fools gold as well. THis team is clearly much improved due to the additions making them faster, more athletic and more options to shoot. But most of the lead was built off using those skills sets in the flow of the game and transition.

Whenever it was a true half court set they struggled to feed the post and get anything going which is coaching.

Maryland may not break 30. I hope they end up winning the Big Ten

They might be the worst shooting team of all P6 teams.

Find it hard to believe they have any prayer of even finishing top 4 lol
