UM folds ... accepts punishment

Unlikely to get to the playoff unless you beat Ohio State. Who knows what the NCAA will do (as discussed at length). I'd much rather them go after winning THIS year than worry about what ifs later. Next year moves to a 12 team format -- IE, way easier to get in.
From everything we've heard from michigan fans until recently, they are so much better than OSU this year that even Harbaugh not being there should make little difference in the outcome.

BREAKING NEWS:

LB coach fired.

Guess we're finding out 1. who knew and 2. why they stopped

My theory is that this guy is secretly best friends with Ryan Day, infiltrated the Michigan Wolverines Football Program, stole our signs and smuggled them to Ohio State, Purdue, Rutgers etc out of spite for being so bald and fat.

Those Ohio State guys are obviously weird about their hair.

But it’s just a guess.

Seems plausible.

The reality is. Even if Michigan had a losing case, losing that case was a far better outcome than the perception of settling it the day before. The downside of losing the case is exactly where we are now.
You appear to be coming to the acceptance phase of your grief. Now that they are firing position coaches today, perhaps you will step back from the keyboard and start looking at things more objectively.

Candidly, what happened was that your law firm told Harbaugh what was going to happen when the B1G lawyers got him on the stand under oath. And told UM who they would be calling as witnesses.

The facts always win out, no matter how fancy your lawyers may be. This is big boy litigation and everyone has big boy lawyers.

The reason this has changed is because of *new* facts. We now know why the lawsuit was dropped. They had a winning argument before, since it was based on the lone-wolf concept. Once evidence of other coaches gets involved, everything changes.

Though what is odd....he was only re-hired in February. Partridge hasn't even been here a year.

The facts have been there the entire time. The B1G didn't do what it did without knowing those facts. Hell, all of us here knew there were more people involved in this ... we've been saying it for weeks. Just because the facts are only now becoming public doesn't mean a non-biased person didn't know they were coming. We've been telling you UM honks this for weeks and you have been in deny-mode. Literally, the facts have been set for weeks - we all knew it even if we didn't know the specifics. You are just coming to realize what we all knew was coming.

Everyone except Michigan fans were saying the lone wolf theory was completely crazy

I get it, man, I didn't want to believe all the stuff coming out about Ohio State during TattooGate either. Didn't fight it quite as hard as you but secretly I kept hoping it was bullshit until it was undeniable

This is new info that was apparently delivered Wed by the NCAA. So the lone wolf theory was a totally acceptable one based on the evidence...until two days ago. And I think Michigan's actions up to this point supported that, and their quickly backing down supports how new that evidence was.

Sounds like a scapegoat. Someone else knew and I wonder if they will protect them or will be see another opening at MI.

Your theory was that a guy making 55k a year and repairing vacuums on the side bought a 500k house, purchased premium seats to at least 3 dozen footballs games, deciphered all the info, and presented it to the coaches as his own and NO ONE KNEW? It's completely bonkers

No it wasn't. The Washington Post article confirmed that the hard drive found with all of Stalions' information was accessed by other coaches and assistants on the team. It went completely out the window at that point, even though it was flimsy at best to begin with.

Well see. I think that has been established already. Unless there’s some really deep back ally transactions happening.

im not sure this means anything. I hope the evidence was more concrete than that. The drive in question had a ton of other stuff on it. So it’s not like it’s only purpose was this.

No one other than UM fans believed the "loan wolf" theory. That's the point I am making to you. You wanted to believe the best when everyone not a UM fan knew that wasn't going to hold up. It's far more likely they backed down when your lawyers did their job and told everyone what was going to happen in the hearing.

Also important. Stallions reported to Partridge.

Of course, there were all sorts of back alley shit happening. That's what we have been telling you for weeks.
