The College FB Playoff Thread…powered by butthurt

They also played Northen Alabama the week before Florida, you know SEC style super delux cupcake before rival.

Whether or not you think they couldn't have scheduled better, the sport is better off if someone pays a price for having high wins on the backs of a meh schedule.

I'm personally tired of seeing sub FBS teams being scheduled by anyone. It's time teams paid for it.
Only thing is most folks week 1 have those FBS team or close to. We had LSU and whooped them.

We definitely deserved to be in. Would we have advanced? Maybe maybe not. I’ve seen crazier things happen especially when you have a solid Running game and solid D

For the 3rd and final time,

I'M NOT SAYING THEY DESERVED IT. I'M SAYING SOMETHING GOOD COULD COME FROM IT.

That means of course other teams also do the same scheduling bullshit. I hate 100% of games made by P5's against non FBS teams. Period. Full Stop. It's bad football, it's bad for the fans that have to pay for it.

If one sacrificial lamb helps make a few different decisions here and there by other teams with playoff aspirations then the sport benefits.

It's still bad for FSU and they should have been in.

Am I not being clear enough? lol

You lose track of the convo?

Never said that you agreed. I'm pushing back on your claim that FSU didn't do all that was asked of them when, imo, they did.

Man, I really do feel for you and I'd be pretty bummed/pissed if in similar situation. We once were. Got dissed and dropped due to the perception of our OOC slate. It's dumb. Your team ran its slate and should be rewarded.

I hope you punish Georgia.

Nope, but also pointed out that with 4 OOC, having 2 go SEC and 2 FCS/low G5 I don't agree they had no way to improve that. Even a lower P5 or a decent/good G5 instead of either one of those other two would have been better.

I just want to see better football up and down the dial. I'm biased that way.

It happens. I was much more bummed when our QB went down in that game. Had a really good team this year and when you’ve been down for 7 years or so it’s nice to be back.

People don’t realize FSU never fell off from late 80s until 2015/2016

But definitely headed in the right direction.

And I don’t expect alot of those kids to play in the bowl game. Not after what happen to Jordan.

Great recruiting tool tho. We had a true freshman start the ACC championship game at QB and still won

Doubt Georgia will have NFL bound players in that game either, so maybe your backups > over their backups.

Who got disrespected more?
FSU being left out as the undefeated ACC champs?
Or the Ducks for finishing 8th by the committee but ending up facing Liberty as their year-end reward?
Committee slapping a few bitches around this morning.

Yea the ducks should have played OU that would be a better draw

It would have been a draw. Better doesn’t seem like an appropriate word considering what a joke it is.

The G5 in the fiesta bowl thing was fun years ago. Now star players just sit out anyway so if the G5 team pulls off the upset it’s not even fun and no one cares anymore.

Then for this one factor in it’s Liberty. A just turned FBS program no one cares about who played the weakest schedule in the FBS… what are we even doing here? It’s hilarious it happened to OD’s team, but putting the Oregon hate aside, what a stupid game to put together. No one who likes college football outside of a few weirdos with Liberty connections want this.

If I were Florida State, I would be inclined not to show up to some bullshit Bowl Game. What more do you need to do after you've beat every team you played.

Yes every game including 2 SEC wins.

You take high ground. This will create another Florida St monster program. Norvell is building a family just like BB did
