Of course the Michigan fans wanted McCord to stick around, he'd be their best QB in the game next year.

McCord's overall numbers are incredibly mundane for a QB with the elite weapons he had in 2023.

That was our 3rd string QB true freshman against Louisville. Back up beat Florida in swamp by double digits and would have been back.

I would love to play Michigan.

He will probably end up at like a Pitt or Purdue type school. He's not national title caliber so i'd be shocked to see him on any team that deems itself a real contender.

The same Clemson that got handled by NC State (slaughtered by ND at home), beat all the way down by Duke (beaten by ND at home), and Miami (perennial trash)? Nah, they're in the only conference that's letting them get to even 8 wins. They barely squeaked by SCar and they aren't even going to a bowl game LOL. The ACC is trash this year and it's largely why their unbeaten conference champ isn't in the CFP.

Basically, this year they deviated from justifications given in past years and ultimately leaned on criteria that shouldn’t be available to them.

But it is and they made their call. I’m just not going to pretend it was all about FSU having a hurt quarterback and not blowing out Louisville.

Talk from the OSU insiders is NC State is giving Kyle a lot of attention. Seems about his right type of school. Much easier schedule next year, expectations will be significantly lower.

Clemson beat Notre Dame by more than OSU. Those teams Penn St played are all trash. Maybe Iowa Clemson is a 3-0 game. Clemson D was plenty good. They still have a lot of talent just not at QB. Sound familiar?

We agree they deviated.

My argument is that they picked the best 4 teams as they stand right now.

Your contention is they picked Alabama because they couldn’t leave out the SEC & money so the committee members would have been complicit in that if true.

Now what makes more sense? A honest assessment of teams or let’s throw everything out the window just to get Bama in? Which would include their reputations by the way.
 
Clemson beat 2 ranked teams and Penn St beat Iowa. Oh and PSU beat West Virginia
