Is this the first year…

I'm still confused. If McCord was trash and he put up better numbers than Travis -- are you saying Travis was trashier?

Your QBR is bullshit like the Michigan schedule. You’re that stupid

Ask OSU fans which QB they would want in a big game. Not against IU or Maryland or Sparty lolol

That's how it should have been. The BCS got it right. Texas should have been on the odd team looking out, even if they beat Bama. If you compare losses and wins, Bama had the better win (against #1 Georgia) and the better loss (against top 5 Texas). Texas should have been out because they lost to #12 OU. The reason so many people are upset isn't really because of Bama being in, it's really (whether they realize it or not) because Texas AND Alabama got in over FSU.
I can attest to this. My gripe is FSU being out. I wouldn’t care if the 4th team was Bama, UGA, Texas, or Ohio St.

We agree they deviated.

My argument is that they picked the best 4 teams as they stand right now.

Your contention is they picked Alabama because they couldn’t leave out the SEC & money so the committee members would have been complicit in that if true.

Now what makes more sense? A honest assessment of teams or let’s throw everything out the window just to get Bama in? Which would include their reputations by the way.
I think they had, and needed reasons beyond the SEC and money, but I think it was a big factor.

We can do the best vs most deserving thing, but the reality is the most objective way to determine the best is to base it on most deserving, and that’s typically how they’ve operated. If that wasn’t the case we’d see 2 loss teams in over one loss and even undefeated teams somewhat regularly, and there’d really be no point in playing more than a few games to see who could look the best.

What 'big game' has Jordan Travis played you in? Can't wait to hear this answer.

And it isn't just QBR. McCord threw for more yards, threw for more TD's, had a better completion percentage, a higher QB rating, a better QBR and it is McCord's 1st year starting, not his 4th.

Do you think ratings would be higher with the SEC left out or with Bama in for the 10th time? How many people don’t watch because they are sick of the SEC?

Wouldn’t more people watch once their dream had come true or are ALL rating dependent on SEC involvement?

You are basically saying the Washington and FSU can’t pull numbers.

When Washington had good matchups, they pulled good ratings...

Bama for 10th time

Very few.

Wat?
You are basically saying the Washington and FSU can’t pull numbers.
Not really, but taking a hit in the sec market isn’t a thing networks want.

Totally agree with this. We don’t think you’ll fare as well without your star player. No soup for you.
Ohio state never would have won their previous title

I think i would have had FSU 3rd as the last unbeaten team then you have to pick between Bama, Texas, Georgia, and Ohio State for 4th (would have gone with Bama despite the h2h loss to Texas...so basically the same as the BCS).

Would have made for a really fun "SEC bias" fit if Texas got left out.

Ohio state never would have won their previous title

True. But they also beat a then ranked #11 Wisconsin team 59-0 in the B10 championship game.

Had they won 16-6 instead, then maybe TCU or Baylor would have gotten in.

love all the whining about FSU not making it in.. whiners will be the very first to complain when Michigan beats them in an ugly boring game 27-9...

Instead you whiners get to see UM vs Bama.. and complain that it was a boring game when Milroe has his best game of the year in a 42-20 win..

So you believe that these guys cared more about ratings and the SEC than their credibility and conferences:

Chris Ault - Nevada AD
Mitch Barnhart - Kentucky AD
Boo Corrigan - NC State AD
Chet Gladchuk - Naval Academy AD
Jim Grobe - HC of Wake, Baylor and Ohio
Mark Harlan - AD Utah
Warde Manuel - Michigan AD
David Sayler - Miami (Ohio) AD
Will Shields - Former Nebraska player
Gene Taylor - Iowa AD
Joe Taylor - VP @ Virginia Union Unversity
Rod West - a graduate of Notre Dame and Tulane
Kelly Whiteside - Professor Montclair State University & Rutgers

All of these people were in on the fix and let ESPN and the SEC manipulate their votes.
Even our lone rep is from Ohio and is the AD for a basketball school.

Notre Dame is better represented than we are Rod West is a former ND player and he and Corrigan are Alumni.

Kentucky AD is on the committee.

Duke was good early this year. Point is the Big 10 is garbage and y’all’s schedule was a joke.

The best OOC win for the big 10 all year was Notre Dame. Go look at who you played all year.

No wonder you never had a lead vs TCU last year. You’ll probably be winning 3-0 at halftime this year.
What was the best OOC win for the Pac-12...Florida? Wasn't Notre Dame...they lost to them twice.

Kentucky AD is on the committee.

Exactly...I said he was an Ohio native but he went to undergrad in Ohio, he is actual from Kansas and AD at a Basketball school = sus carpetbagger.
