We had a Heisman winner on a 6-4 team.
1969
Pretty sure Florida had 4 losses when Tebow won it as well. Manziel and RGIII I think both had 3 losses.

Paul Hourning won it with a losing record.
Then why not give it to Shedeur? It's not a team award. Not sure why you include the teams record in your complaint
Don't get me started on that fucking guyPaul Hourning won it with a losing record.
This. Like everything else, just argue from whatever angle is convenient. It’s an individual award this year, they don’t consider wins/losses, leadership, clutch moments in big games in championship seasons. Unless they do.Then why not give it to Shedeur?
You can't say there should never be consideration for record when it is largely a QB award, they are the most consequential position on the team, and the one position that can carry a team more than any other.
Hell, Penix was penalized for having games too close they should have blown out. Doesn't matter he was clutch and made many 4th quarter plays that were comebacks or game saving?
People threw Bo out because his 'team' lost to UW twice. If it's more stats than wins Bo gets more votes than he did.
Piling up stats against bad teams shouldn't be the primary factor in judging the best player.
That alone isn't the problem. It's the inconsistency of how each are judged. One can be out for a single team loss while others are rewarded for stats on a shitty team.
By its nature these awards are just like judging figure skating.This. Like everything else, just argue from whatever angle is convenient. It’s an individual award this year, they don’t consider wins/losses, leadership, clutch moments in big games in championship seasons. Unless they do.
That year Jim Brown was 5th in the voting.Don't get me started on that fucking guy

Personally, I didn't care who won. So, this is not about that. Then why not give it to Shedeur?

Nobody cares about the PAC schools, get over it.. despite Phil writing 8 fig checksSorry. But a QB of a 9-3 team shouldn’t win the heisman. Hell they shouldn’t even be invited to the ceremony.
I’m sick that the SEC bias that has taken over college football, see FSU, has ruined and taken away a special moment for players like Bo Nix, who deserve and are worthy of the prestigious award of the Heisman trophy.
They screwed over FSU and now they screwed over Nix and dare I say, Penix. Yes, that’s how stupid this is, you got me even considering Penix more deserving of this award than Daniels.
Bottom line, Daniels shouldn’t have won it. He didn’t deserve it. Marvin Harrison was a joke to even be there, seriously wtf was that?
Thank you Bo for all you did for Oregon. Heisman in my book!
SkOO Ducks! Let’s get it one more time on January 1.
Remember when Carson Wentz was the AMVP? Almost Most Valuable Player. You are a tool.
This is part of the problem. People making blind arguments without any context.Personally, I didn't care who won. So, this is not about that.
I don't understand the piling up stats against bad teams argument. There is not a lick of difference between the two team's schedules. LSU played ACC Champion FSU (13-0) OOC and SEC Champion Alabama (12-1), Ole Miss (10-2) and Mizzou (10-2) in conference + four other teams that finished 6-6 or better. Washington also played 8 teams that were 6-6 or better highlighted by Oregon (11-2) twice, Arizona (9-3), Utah (8-4) and Oregon State (8-4) + 3 other teams that were 6-6 or better. LSU played 4 teams with losing records and Washington played 5 teams with a losing record.
IMO, the passing stats for all three QBs were awesome, and the difference was Daniels having 1,300 rushing yards and finishing 2nd in the SEC in rushing. That is what won it for him.
Once again, no dog in the race for me. Any of them could have won it and been okay in my book.
