Last night felt like a dream. Got to watch Michigan win a national title with my 10 year old son. Harbaugh restored Michigan's football program into one that can play with the big boys again.

As much as I want Harbaugh to stay at UM. I think this was his last game, as CFB isn't the same with all the NIL, portal, etc. He can get paid more in the NFL and not deal with all craziness in CFB right now.

Harbaugh is a weird guy, but he is an amazing football coach and his players absolutely love him. I think we have a few built in guys we could look at to hire. Sherrone Moore. Jesse Minter. Hope we find a young guy who will run the program with the same enthusiam that Harbaugh did.

Honestly, Michigan probably does NIL better than any school in the country. Maybe not the amount of money, but the way they use what they have, makes the most sense.

I'm not sure NIL was near the top of the list of reasons for their success this year.

No, but I don't think NIL would be a reason why Harbaugh would leave for the NFL. Michigan does it better than anyone IMO.

Michigan is smart with NIL, especially the huge fund they set up for guys who return called the 'Those Who Stay" fund. They raise over $1 million last year and that money is split with any guy returning to play at UM, instead of going to the NFL.

They already raised $650,000 for next year's guys.

Michigan will definitely miss out on the top of the line talent guys, as we aren't going to buy any recruits just to commit to UM.

All I know is -- I'm beyond happy with how this year turned out. Who knows when they will have another shot at something like this. But I'm glad they got the job done this year!!

If Atlanta can get Harbaugh to go there with Bijan and Allegeirs. You guys would be so tough. Kyle Pitts would absolutely love him too.
I mean, he’s gonna need to land a QB, but Falcons have a lot of good pieces

Harbaugh will leave because he wants to try and win a Super Bowl. The NFL is the pinnacle of the coaching profession, just like it is for the players.

Doesn't take away from winning a title in CFB, but the NFL is closest thing you have to a level playing field. His style of coaching/play is built for the NFL too. His antics don't play as well in the NFL, but no one can argue with his success. His teams are disciplined, rarely make mistakes, usually the least penalized. He makes sure all 3 facets are like that (offense, defense, special teams).

I think the Bears, Atlanta and SD could immediately be really good teams with Harbaugh as coach.

Harbaugh got to the SB with Colin Kapernick at QB. His style of offense opens things up for the QB, as he runs so much play action and so much movement pre-snap.

Not saying Ridder is the answer. But Harbaugh would style the offense to his strengths and without a doubt he would throw less interceptions.

I want Harbaugh to stay, I hope he stays.

I still can't believe it's real. We've had to watch some really really bad football in the last 15 years. For most of my personal Michigan fandom, Michigan has been bad or average. Underperforming at every corner, in almost every big game. So it was a bit of an out of body experience the last week, watching MIchigan beat Nick Saban and then win a national title. I think every Michigan fan is experiencing a bit of that. We've been the punch line for so long, it just feels great to prove everyone wrong.

It’s a good feeling ain’t it?

Selfishly, I want him to stay. Realistically though, I think his heart wants to try and win a Super Bowl.

If Michigan recruited at a level like those who are truly elite -- I think he could be convinced to stay to try and repeat. Let's be honest though. Michigan doesn't. So he could leave on top and go take on another challenge.

UM is going to have to rebuild next year. That is a lot of work. I hope they are able to, but I think next year is going to be tough, with or without Harbaugh. Only way it isn't, if Jadyn Davis comes in and excels as a true freshman or JJ comes back.
