Big Ten Basketball

Can’t just show up even at home. You have to play with some defensive effort. Illinois has issues with smaller quick guards and Maryland playing a pretty good game.

Yea it might be time to move on from Holtmann, getting blown out by a terrible Michigan team

Don't give me the "conference road game" crap either, Michigan has lost to Penn State and Minnesota at home in the last 2 weeks. No excuses

Yep, I don't like our chances to make the tourney at all. Can't win road games and our home schedule remaining is no cake walk either.

the melt is complete

What I do know...regardless of coach we can't go damn near a month playing 4 games. They lost all momentum in that huge break in December.

Playing a weak OOC is building confidence that the conference schedule destroys.

Michigan is terrible, I don't care that it was a road game. They've lost to McNeese State, Penn State & Minnesota at home in the past 2 weeks. There's literally no excuse for losses like this.

Ohio State plays decent OOC schedules too. This year was a little weaker because UCLA and WVU ended up being pretty bad, but usually we have a pretty decent slate.

Holtmann is like 8 games under .500 in January in his time at Ohio State. Every year is a January/February meltdown. Sometimes they pick it back up again in March but by that point its too late.

Wish the AD switch coulda came sooner but Gene Smith doesn't step down until June 30. He aint doing fucking shit before either, he's been mentally retired for awhile, a worthless empty suit. So we are more than likely stuck with Holtmann entering the 2024-2025 season.

I wouldn't say it was weak persay

UCLA
WVU
Bama
TAMU
Santa Clara

alright it wasn't remotely close to their strongest OOC lol

Whatever the reason he loses the team at some point every single year. He had one team worthy of OSU and they lost in rd 1.

Time is up. His recruiting for 24 is atrocious also

And what are we doing with Chatman? This dude is a lock to transfer.

Seems like everyone is clueless. There is zero direction with anything. The team always resembles 5 random guys in a pickup game just doing whatever offensively. It's a fucking mess.
