Good news is a lot of baseball players spoke out today, including pitchers, supporting tatis.

The crazy thing about it is they were only up 7 with two innings to go. The Braves scored 7 runs in the 9th a week ago. They also scored 4 runs in the 9th last night to win it. 7 runs isn’t some out of reach score. And have you seen the Padres relievers? A lot of trash. You better have your foot on the peddle the whole way. The padres manager should be fired for not standing up for Tatis.

Whitey Herzog got criticized for stealing with a big lead years ago.

The opposing manager yelled across the field at him for stealing with such a big lead and then complained about it to the newspapers after the game saying, "Whitey is showing us up and that's baloney." So Herzog retorted, "Stealing bases is how we score runs. We'll agree to stop stealing if he agrees not to hit any more home runs."

Agreed obviously

Never heard of the unwritten rule of taking a 3-0 pitch up seven. That's a new one. How about not trying to piss around with the strike zone when Manny Machado is on deck. None of it made sense. So he should take a strike just because? GTFO with that shit
