Well it's official: I have kidney cancer. Also, I do not have a horseshoe kidney, I have something called "crossed renal ectopia." This complicates the surgery a bit, but the doctor said he has experience with these. Surgery scheduled for 3/14, Pie Day. Gonna take all of one kidney and a slice of the other.

Best news of all: the nurse recommended I take 4 weeks off from work to fully recover
