For real though Family Guy fell into the trap every successful show eventually does which is making characters caricatures of themselves. Peter went from a loveable oaf who was an idiot but still meant well to a drunk asshole, Meg was the awkward high schooler to obnoxious punching bag, etc., and Stewie they thought it would be funny to tease him as gay and then eventually just made that his entire personality.

You know a show sucks whenever the characters become just stereotypes of themselves.

They copied the Simpsons so much, they stole the Ned Flanders arc and applied to all of their characters.

South Park is the only long running adult cartoon that has still managed to be funny after so many years. I’m glad King of the Hill ended when they started to slide, but hadn’t fully jumped the shark yet, and I hope they’re not serious about a reboot. KotH with no Luanne, Lucky and Dale, or with different voices wouldn’t be worth watching

I stopped watching around 2011/12 when it really started going downhill. I've seen some newer ones here and there and it just isn't funny. They also try to pivot to being more serious/plot-driven and it's like....that's not what I'm watching this for.
