GAME 2024 Official NFL Draft Thread 8pm ET ESPN

Comparing his situation to Fields' situation is like comparing the White Sox to the Dodgers from a talent perspective.
Fields is shit, bruh. He had a solid team last year and still couldn't get out of his own way.

I'll give ya the three-win year, that team was atrocious, but last year's was not.

I'm not the only one saying it. They have a top 10 D, that figures to be better this year.

They have a good young o-line that should only improve.

One of the top WR units in the league. Solid RB room. They won 7 games last year, and it should've been 9.

Like I said. Show me a better situation for the top drafted QB in the last 40 years.
No

LOL sure. He really was an anomaly, given Chicago's strong history of developing QBs.

Dude. History? Poles has been the GM since 2022.

Who gives a good goddamn about ANYTHING prior to that? What does Ryan Pace's history have to do with Poles'? How far back we going? Phil Emery? Jerry Angelo? It's a silly argument.

If he wins games, he could wear a rainbow-colored dildo off the front of his helmet for all I care.
Sounds like a perfect fit for the Bears fan base

Mind Blown GIF

The bad thing is, I think Pennix will be the second best QB in this class, behind only Daniels, but he’s too old to be sitting for years. Falcons wasted a top 10 pick and hurt Pennix’s career opportunities at the same time

I don’t know the contract specifics for Cousins, but what are the chances he now only lasts 1-2 years in ATL before moving on?

This. Cousins is old af. Good chance Pennix sees the field sooner than later.

Maybe. Time will tell. He's being put into a much better situation. It's up to him.

I hate to the say it but the Bears do seem to be stacking good decisions dating back to grabbing Montez Sweat. I spoke to many Bears fans last night who were very happy w those 2 picks. Seemed like you got exactly who you guys wanted.

I'll never understand the urge to defend an organization that has ruined every QB they've ever had their hands on. They gave Fields a bottom 5 team, then for one year gave him a competent WR and thought they'd magically win 13 games. He deserved far, far better.
