No, we're still fighting some stuff. The cats got Giardia, then transmitted it to my daughter and her boyfriend. Both of them were at urgent care all weekend. Today they took the little one to the vet again because she was having breathing troubles --and she has pneumonia. At least the mama's eye is healed up and she seems to be better. A lot more playful over the weekend.

Wow, I had no idea Giardia could be transmitted from animals to humans. I (obviously) know little about it, but I thought it just came from drinking bad water, like from a stream, or something. I hope they're feeling better.
I'm glad mama seems to be feeling better, and as for the kitten having pneumonia ... I will cross my fingers for the wee one!!!

They had asked the vet if they could get any of the kitties' illnesses, and the vet laughed in their faces. Supposedly, the Giardia they get is different from the one humans get, but we're 99% sure they got the same thing (probably from dealing with kitty diarrhea).

Daughter paid 100$ for the cat because "she's a grown up now." Guess who's been paying those 1,000$ vet bills?

It is at least sweet that she's contributing.
It shows, at least imo, even though she's doing good trying to help kitties, she still doesn't expect to just be handed things on a silver platter. Well done Hu and Mrs. Hu!
Those Vet bills do add up, though!!!
I just took mine in for her "get her on the books" exam and a couple of tests (tests which should have been run by the rescue organization, they're standard at most places, and it really, really bothers me the jerks have apparently just decided not to run those tests as part of "getting them ready for adoption)." It was almost $200.
 
Seemed like 1 in 3 households were flying the Palestine flag in Minneapolis. Don’t think I saw a single American flag once. Wild.
 
The past few Memorial Days, I’ve gone to a local cemetery and visited the graves of two soldiers who died in Vietnam. One gravestone is engraved with the dates and places of his birth & death. The other used to have a Vietnam service ribbon embedded in glass. Some delinquent broke it off, leaving a hole. I’d police up the graves and leave flowers from my yard or coins atop the stones. This year, thunderstorms with lightning kept me away.
 
I wouldn't be caught dead with that hair color or cut, but otherwise ...

Like all things, they get dead. Especially foamy stuff.

A pillow lasts me mebbe a year.

The Freeform lasted two days. Piece of shit.
