At the risk of being overly picky,
Sir Ian fell off the stage, not onstage.

Yes, he was onstage when he started to fall, but he fell offstage.

Look, I'm basically just bummed I had to change my trip, so will now be missing Player Kings altogether,
And was genuinely surprised to see mentioned here.
Part of the reason I wanted to see it, other than the opportunity to see McKellen onstage (in anything, much less doing any Shakespeare) is because of an adaptation of Henry IV parts 1 and 2 I did years back. I would have loved to see the differences - what was cut and kept, etc ... I can get the script, and I probably will, but it would have been amazing to get to see.
