Big 12 thread

…so who’s gonna play Daddy now that Daddy is gone?

What team/school has the oomph to rule now that the rooster has left the roost?

Thats probably whats gonna make the Big XII fun, no one dominant school and probably a different champ every year

How long will Utah remain in the Big XII?

If NBC eventually coaxes Notre Dame to join the B1G, the conventional wisdom is that Stanford comes with the Irish... but some folks maintain that Utah would be the B1G partner for the Irish.

I dunno if FOX & CBS would be satisfied with having only the Irish away games... but if the money is too good to turn down, I imagine NBC, FOX, and CBS would hammer out an agreement to bring Notre Dame & Utah to the B1G.

this has to be AI.. no way an ou guy does this walk without doing an upside down HookEm
Probably wearing a Stutsman OU only fears God shirt underneath.

Actually, @Thiefery, the AI got it just right. The UT guy is walking like he has two balls and the OU guy is walking like he has three balls.

For a while because the ACC is shit and the P2 won't take them anytime soon. Utah is not really the first school in line for a P2 invite.

I don't see that Kansas, ISU, or Arizona are better then you guys.
That Kansas game is I think the biggest game of the season for us. It’ll set the tone imo. If we drop that it’s an absolute spiral that could start and we may miss a bowl.

Campbell and ISU always give us fits but imo we are better and being home we SHOULD win.

I’m full prepared to get molly whomped at Az given the distance and their QB.

Personally OOYM, I liked it better when they picked us to finish dead last.

Checking out which teams got conference schedule "breaks" this season compared to others. And I noticed something real weird with the Big 12 teams.

Does anyone know why some Big 12 teams are playing 10 conference games and others only 9? Arizona, Baylor, K-State and Utah only have two OOC games and ten conference games. The rest have three and nine. Tell me I'm missing something.

AZ - OOC (UNM, NAU) CON (K-State, Utah, TT, BYU, Colo, WVU, UCF, Houston, TCU, AZ State)
AZ State - OOC (Wyoming, Miss State, Tex State) CON (TT, Kansas, Utah, Cincy, Okie Lite, UCF, K-State, BYU, AZ)
Baylor- OOC (Tarleton, Air Force) CON (Utah, Colo, BYU, ISU, TT, Okie Lite, TCU, WVU, Houston, Kansas)
BYU- OOC (Southern Illinois, SMU, Wyoming) CON (K-State, Baylor, AZ, Okie Lite, UCF, Utah, Kansas, AZ St, Houston)

There were some series that were scheduled as OOC games prior to the 4 Corner School Expansion. Those games do not count in the Conference standings. So, only 9 "Official" Conference games per team.

Thanks. Do we know which ones those are?

Hey buddy, the return button after every teams lineup. It’s your friend.

My bad.

What did your 'neers do to piss off the Big 12 schedulers? Start conference with Kansas, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, K-State and Arizona consecutively. Along with you guys I believe those are picked to finish 1-6 aren't they? WTH? No one else has anything near that difficult stretch of games. Hell, some teams in the P2 probably don't even have one like that.

The schedulers must really like the Utes though. They avoid both Kansas schools and get Zona and ISU both in Salt Lake. Only away game they have against a team picked to finish in the top six is at Stillwater. They should be the pick to win it with that kind of scheduling break.
