EA Sports College Football 25

Well how the hell do I do that? I paid $100 for this stupid game, they should at least give instructions on how to give them more
Give them a month or so, they'll tell you how you can give them more money 8,000 times.

So, here’s an annoying thing I’ve noticed after putting a little time in. You can set the clock to run between plays so the play clock will run down to 17 seconds (or whatever you set it to) when you break the huddle. Which has been a thing in these games for a long time.

BUT it doesn’t do it under 2 minutes, and it just totally kills any sense of realism (and is extremely frustrating, you get a big stop and keep the team in bounds at the end of the game, but they still just get on the ball with like only 3 seconds ticking and immediately snap).

Should be a place for it when setting up Dynasty. I don't have the game yet to confirm but in one of the preview videos EA did last week, they should you configure conferences basically anyway you like (20 team per conference cap). So want to add 4 teams to the SEC to make it 20? Go for it. Don't like the new BIG and want to restore the Pac? You can do it
you have to do 1 season as it is. like play the 24 season then you can

If you move all Independent teams to conferences it will glitch.

i was invited to the playoff after CCG and there were job offers I didnt take any because who does that with a shot a championship. anyway no jobs after that so kind of annoyed

Same, except I had offers up to 2nd round and then they disappeared.

So I added ND & UConn to the B1G and it completely changed my schedule. Now I don’t play Texas until late in the season and I don’t play Ohio State at all in the regular season. 😬

So that’s weird.

I haven't seen the daylight in 3 days. Oregon has won 4 national championships and a statue of me has been built in Eugene. I did write an apology letter to Dan Lanning that I bumped him from the HC job, but clearly it has been the right choice for the Ducks. Starting today I look to make it a 5-peat.

I play everything on Steam nowadays but I just bought a PS5 to get this game.

So far it’s fun!

Many flaws but it’s itching that scratch and reminds me of all the dynasties I built as a kid. Glad to have cfb back on the sticks, even if it’s not mind blowing.

Agreed. Finding some useful little features missing from dynasty mode as I play more that aren’t as glaring at first. Like a quick way to just view details of your week’s matchup, much less a way to practice or prepare for the week built in. Feel like it used to sim the games played before yours too so you could see results before starting yours? Maybe I’m misremembering, but I’ve had at least one instance where I thought of it and it would have been a nice touch.

Basically a lot of little stuff missing that could go a long way to add more depth. Seems like all there is to do is run down the recruiting board, maybe check the rankings, and jump into your game every week. Also don’t like the unrealistic clock runoff (or lack thereof) at the end of halves as previously mentioned.

But other than that, it’s not bad, and that’s all it needed to be. There have been some glitches here and there, but nothing that’s really gotten in the way. The gameplay feels enough like the old games. I definitely don’t regret buying it.

I won't be surprised if they add some thru an update. Like I've seen people complain about conference realignment changes not saving because there's no actual "accept" button, you just have to back out of the menu after the change and hope it takes. That stuff and what you mentioned feel like details that got pushed aside to meet deadline knowing they could insert them later

After winning a natty as Offensive Coordinator with New Mexico Lobos, I found my job offers gone. So I reloaded a previous save and took the HC position at Memphis and installed the Air Raid offense.

So far, So good.

Also, FYI an explanation of all those icons you see pre-snap as well as a bunch of other stuff I had not gotten to yet.

I went unbeaten and won the Natty w MI over Notre Dame. Final four wall all-Big Ten (Oregon & Penn State being the other two).

Adding ND to the B1G really messed up my schedule removing Ohio State as an opponent and giving me UCLA as my annual final opponent instead. So that sucked.

I’ll start over now w a mid-level team, prob Miami and try to build them up.

5/5 stars.

I noticed it after one game. I had no time to make line adjustments, hot routes, etc.

Easy fix. Turn off the accelerated clock.

I did notice it winds down faster after kickoffs and I believe punts. Kinda strange, maybe a shorter play clock?

Stop playing on freshman difficulty. There ya go

Yeah it will take time. Definitely some stuff in the gameplay they need to patch up but it is far less than Madden. It's not close and gameplay is faster.
A perk from Madden is your players don't run out of gas after running 50 yards and just basically jog. That was annoying lol.

Way more perks than disappointments comparing this game to Madden. It beats it by a mile but still a lot of clean up. So far a lot of fun.

Gave in and got it.

NCAA 14 was far from perfect it had its broken parts and glitches but I could still enjoy it and have a lot of fun

So far College Football 25 to me seems extremely broken gameplay wise and almost unplayable. Way more frustration than fun. A lot of the "difficulty" people talk about I think is coming from the game being so broken instead of it just being hard (when you play on higher difficulties) Its completely obvious they spent way more time on the cosmetic features than the actual game play. Very dissapointing.

Also lol @ How broken the rankings system is. Simmed through a good amount of years on Dynasty just to see what happens. You get 3 loss teams ranked at the top ahead of undefeated power teams and constantly you see like 2 loss G5 teams cracking the top 10. Charlotte quickly became a powerhouse in the sim I did and was constantly in the top 10 even with 2 or 3 losses.

They took pre-snap adjustments to another level in this game. I love it but a lot to learn still. I like you can disguise defenses, so far it did no good for me bc Rice's defense is garbage (who I play with on my dynasty). Also, all the hot routes you can customize.

Rankings is a quick fix through a patch. A lot of complaints on strange teams getting in the playoff. That shit is just going to happen from time to time.

Definitely some gameplay issues but it feels more realistic than Madden and it isn't close.

It seems like you are glaring on all the negatives but fail to mention all the positives. It will take some time but this is literally the first go-around for a game we haven't seen in 11 years. The Coliseum wasn't built in one day.

Some simple things people don't notice. If you call streaks and you get a ton of time in the pocket the defenders actually run back with the WR's. This was never a thing in Madden, it was just a glitch. Also, if you do a playmaker the defender will follow if they have the awareness. Never happened in Madden. Simple stuff like that is huge for gameplay. A more positives than negatives.
