Just trying to get things in order before season kicksoff
Everyone still in right?

- Player Pool
I believe we've been going off schools in conferences who made the NY6 bowls. So for the 2024 season that would include SEC, BIG, B12, ACC, PAC, ND & CUSA (83 teams). Going forward in the 12-playoff era, do we based the player pool from the 5 AQs that get in the playoffs?! Seems to be the most straight forward approach

- 3 Keeper league
Remember you can select up to 3 players from your roster to keep for this season. No current deadline to make select keepers as of now. Deadline will probably be set close to draft date.

- Draft date
Week 1 starts Thursday, August 29, 2024
So we'll need to figure out a draft date before then

im still in. those points look right. Like i mentioned earlier when looking at your keepers keep the conference changes in mind. I almost kept a American conference player.

I'm in again. I'd be okay if we excluded Washington State and Oregon State since they are playing essentially a G5 schedule. If the Mtn West is the G5 rep this year, I think it would make sense to add them next year. Not a big deal, but just something I thought of.

I agree with Eric, we can probably exclude the PAC now. They only have two teams. Going forward, I think your approach mentioned makes the most sense. 5 AQ's that get into the playoff the previous year.

Was thinking the same since their schedule mostly consist of teams not in our format.

Out of curiosity what happens if 2 g5 champs get in and the acc or bigxii get left out? Like its a long shot but not impossible

Then we don't draft ACC or Big12 teams/players. The 5 conference champs is what it'll be moving forward.

and if there is more than 5?
say both the AAC and Mountain west go undefeated and beat a ranked P5 team and happen to be ranked like 10 and 12 while the P4 still take up 1-4? do we do 6

only the top 5 champs are guaranteed a spot. the top 4 get byes. If the rankings were 1. SEC champ 2. Big Ten Champ 3. Big XII champ 4. ACC champ 5. at large, 6. at large, 7. at large, 8. at large, 9 at large. 10. MWC undefeated champ. 11. at large 12. undefeated AAC champion. then we would have 6 conference champs in.
12th spot isnt simply reserved for g5 champ.

As far as draft date. Season starts August 24th but our first week won't start till August 29th.

i dont remember that ever being talked about.
we always said p5 (now P4) and which ever G5 made NY6. in that wording why would we exclude a conference that made the playoff?
