Only headscratcher for me is which coach voted Michigan first, or Jexas first.Only headscratchers for me are Miami and A&M but I'm sure those will sort themselves out. Also the Coaches Poll is so useless anymore I wonder why they still have it.

And Jexas is the drunk. Sounds like an 80's sitcom, "Crybaby and The Drunk"Has to be the crybaby
Not sure about #20 but I think A&M will be a lot better for not having to drag the Jimbo Ball and Chain around. With him they started each game with a huge deficit IMO.Only headscratchers for me are Miami and A&M but I'm sure those will sort themselves out. I'm actually pretty high on Miami. I think Ward is in for a huge year with that offense. I'm a little hesitant because their coach does a lot of dumb things, but combined with their talent and schedule, I think they could make the CFP. With all that said, they very easily could lose to UF in the opener, and proceed to lose 4/5 games. Lol.
I think they'll be better but that's still a team with a brand new coach and a lot of issues to work out from the Jimbo era. I still see at least 4 losses if not more, but they could also surprise. To start the year though, I'd have them UR at this point. Not sure about #20 but I think A&M will be a lot better for not having to drag the Jimbo Ball and Chain around. I'm not. I'm glad we passed on Ward, I don't think he's as great as some make him out to be. He's better than Van Dyke for sure but I don't think he's really a landscaping changing QB.
We hear every year how "THIS IS THE YEAR MIAMI IS BACK" ill believe it when I see it

2024When was the last time Alabama didn't recieve a single first place vote???
I expect our defense is going to be top 20, not sure about the offense. High hopes, but will wait to see it first. Not sure about #20 but I think A&M will be a lot better for not having to drag the Jimbo Ball and Chain around. With him they started each game with a huge deficit IMO.
That wasn't the case when we were ranked #5 and just missed out, but ok.4 losses and ESPNSEC will be hyping them as the most talented 4 loss team ever and crying that they can't be in the playoff.

I tend to lean towards the latter of those scenarios. It's been so long since Miami has been truly relevant on the national stage I can't take them serious. Also I like Ward, but I definitely don't love him as much as other people do. He had a really fine season last year but it's not as if he was blowing away the competition in a fairly weak conference from a defensive standpoint. Like you said, coaching is always an issue in Miami. They'll probably throttle some weaker teams but I could easily see 5 losses for them.I'm actually pretty high on Miami. I'm also high on SMU, even jumping up to a better conference. I can see UF being a loss, but they also obviously have their issues. I think VT could absolutely beat them, Louisville and FSU will definitely be favored, and even the trip out to Cal isn't a guaranteed W (they actually knocked off Ward and WSU last season so they obviously know him well).Yeah, if it goes south for them I can see that happening. They just have a real advantageous schedule by missing Clemson, NC State and SMU(I'm high on them) in the regular season. I could see 10-2 maybe even 11-1 if things click.
