This has nothing to do with this thread.....but it does prove that the NCAA had it out for Harbaugh

FYI the NCAA and Michigan settled "their" aspect of this months ago and was closed. THis is entirely directed at Harbaugh and IMO is just a meaningless show by the NCAA to say "look what we did!"

Harbaugh just signed with the NFL, isn't coming back to college (especially in the next 4 years). This actually means nothing.

Unethical content, refusing to cooperate and outright lying. No way they didn't do exactly the same, but probably worse with the Stallions investigation.
Important to notice how they punished the person and not the team/university....and punish is probably an overstatement. This was a publicity stunt that means nothing.

Go figure the people who claim how they are "above the shady things everyone else does!" in college football are the worst offenders of that.

The way I see this playing out. I've told everyone from the start that this story was sensationalized during the season because it involved a huge school, huge controversial name (harbaugh), and Michigan was one of the top teams at the time. They took a story about minor NCAA violations and blew it up for clicks; and buckeye/spartan fans ate it up. Some people got caught up in that sensationalized story to think that 1. It was the reason Michigan was good and 2. The NCAA was going to hammer them because they viewed these as major violations.

What's happening now. Leaks are coming out that illustrate the actual allegations weren't as serious as the sensationalized stories for clicks made them out to be and people like Pete Thamel are backing away from any talk of serious punishment. The story is shifting to violations that involve disobedience with the NCAA and not anything to do with the sensationalized sign stealing scheme so many people (including posters on here) got caught up in believing.

What happens next is that Michigan, as rational fans predicted, will likely get a slap on the wrist. Maybe a fine. Maybe some scholarship losses. Former coaches who they deemed disobedient get a show cause from the NCAA. And predictably, the next conversation shift will be "of course the NCAA looked the other way for Michigan". "of course they got off easy". "The NCAA has no teeth". You can start to see that shift already happening in the last few pages here.
Let me explain it to you from a long time CFB fan who is not a tOSU fan, and who until the last 3-4 years really didn't give a shit about UM ...

The fact that you and other UM fans and even your president have gone on and on about how this isn't a big deal is what is making the common fan hate UM. It was a big deal. You gained a clear competitive advantage that no other school was doing or has done. The fact that you and your other fans and administration are so arrogant as to act as if this is no big deal when you clearly had a competitive advantage is why normal people see this as a big deal. You won games you might have lost because you knew what play was coming. You can say that is "minor" all you want, but normal fans don't see it that way.

You are so irrational that you keep minimizing what everyone else sees as major issues. You've lost moral compass and that's why its so easy to hate your team and dismiss you as a fan. You and your ilk simply are not serious.

This is clearly a cultural problem at Michigan. Lack of Institutional Control.

They swore the recruiting thing was definitely no big deal, just a cheeseburger yadda yadda

Makes me wonder how much WORSE the Stallions shit is than what we know about.

It has everything to do with your cheating former head coach, and the fact that you are a bunch of cheating motherfuckers.

Listen to you ... instead of being embarrassed, you just carry on that it's nothing, no big deal.

lol it wasn't a big deal. It changed no outcomes and gave only one person an advantage; conner stallions. It made his job of legal sign stealing easier.

And the national media supports my opinion, not yours.

"unethical conduct and failure to cooperate" are level 1's.

Crybaby deleted texts and only handed them over when proven he had deleted them.

Connect the dots how you like.

So Harbaugh refuses to play ball so he is left out of the initial findings and any deal, and you think that means the NCAA is out to get him? He could have joined in with the others.

Telling the NCAA to fuck off is a violation, it's not cheating.

He "accidentally deleted them" right when he found out the NCAA was coming. Honest mistake! - Retarded Michigan fans.

If it wasn't helping they wouldn't have kept doing it.

This definitely matters in context to the Stallions case. Michigan is a repeat offender in the same time period, thats gonna weigh on the NCAAs minds in their decision making.

It doesn't. Michigan was already listed as a repeat offender in the "draft' NOA. Which is why Moore's level 2 violation of text messages was potentially in consideration for a level 1.
