Still no contract agreement, so I'm going down the list of games and seeing whats on ABC, CBS, Fox, FS1, BTN, etc, so forth and so on.

Of course the Oklahoma game is on ESPN, so I guess I'll tune in the radio like it's the 1960's all over again.

OU game is on the SEC Network I believe.

Check YOUTUBE at gametime. Some folks there will stream a whole game...its hit and miss on whether a game will show up.

There are many sites on the web where you could watch...just make sure your antivirus is up to date.

Sometimes I like to listen to a game on the radio, my dad still does that often. I'll go over and sit with him and just listen. Toby and Ted are awesome.

Got a 2 week free trial of YouTube tv and it’s pretty awesome. I may not go back

I hate to watch baseball games. As a former player, it gripes me to see players dogging it and some of them obviously not in great shape. But I can listen to baseball games one after the other if they are on the radio. It takes me back to when I was a kid and my best friend and I would listen to games on the radio. Nostalgia. Best thing there ever was for making things a little better in today's fucked up world.

Gotta say this was an extreme power move by Disney. I heard there was a brief warning about potential blackouts if DirecTV doesn't pony up, but then right before CFB and NFL starts up they just yank the plug. Bravo.

I also have a special hatred for DirecTV because years ago I had them and they pissed me off, but mostly because they allowed Bally Sports to exist as long as they did. Had DirecTV joined everyone else telling Bally to fuck off, we all would have been watching regional sports channels for the last few years. But everyone said no to the scheme, then DirecTV/ATT saw that they could corner the market and took it. Fuck em in the ass.

This happened about two or three years ago with SlingTV. I went with YouTubeTV then and loved it. I only had it for college football season. Wife complained about the cost. Luckily, a friend signed me into his YouTubeTV account. I will say that SlingTV got their dealings straight pretty quickly. I am shocked that this new dispute is taking this long to remedy.

AT&T has deep pockets and I'm sure Disney is going after them with a higher cost considering what they have got to be paying Bally/Diamond.

Left Direct many years ago for dish after 10+ years they screwed me out of BCS games because they couldn’t get my new high def set up in time and overall was satisfied with dish but did run into this a few times. They started the price hike nonsense so cut the cord and went Hulu and so far.. so good. Cheaper and happy with it.

I emphatically join you in your fuck AT&T/DirecTV mentality. Bally Sports has been the worst thing to happen to live sports since I can even remember, and the fact that they somehow still exist and have the exclusive regional rights despite going bankrupt is infuriating.

DirecTV better pony up or im switching

The reason I havent yet is that it’s nice to still get TV if Cox wifi decides to go out

This is the answer ... try YTTV or FUBO. Get a trial, or just sign up until the deal is done.

Jump to youtubeTV and if wifi goes out just stream over 5G

Just get a $25 digital antenna at Walmart and you're set for college football on FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, and CW, all day long.

Yep. Reminds me of a comment about the management/labor dispute one year in the NFL, NBA or MLB. Can’t remember which. It was described as “Millionaires arguing with billionaires over hundreds of thousands.” In the AT&T/Disney feud it is “Billionaires arguing with billionaires.”

Anybody thinking about cutting the cable/satellite cord, just know the 'tv' portion of your bills are going to continue increasing as more and more people actually do cut the cord.
Somebody's got to make up that revenue loss and that somebody is you.

The costs of streaming is held in check because it's competitive. You can change streaming services from month to month.
Whereas cable tv is a monopoly, and satellite tv basically is too, unless you want to change out antennas and boxes. Not to mention you're stuck in one year contracts with them, otherwise if you're month to month they really stick it in your ass.

I'm out in rural America and there are 3 different satellite dishes (and an old aerial) on my roof from the previous owner. They look like hell, but the roof's in good shape so I won't have them removed until I get reroofed here in a few years.

My local cable company is fiber, but I don't use their tv service because it's also a monopoly. I only use their high speed internet. I have my own wi-fi modem (Walmart) to run multiple devices in my house. I don't need a separate fucking decoder box for every tv that's already a smart tv with internet access.

Maybe cable/satellite tv will eventually start getting cost competitive with streaming services, but it's not gonna be anytime soon. Because they don't have to as long as the die-hards keep footing the bill.

I haven't looked recently but a couple of years ago when I was shopping around I looked at DirectTV streaming. Even though they supplied no hardware, there was still some charge related to that. Maybe it was a DVR charge or something, but I was responsible for everythign but they still were charging for something physical. such a rip off.

I'm happier than a hound dog chasin' a jack rabbit out here in the sticks with just internet and streaming.

If it came to blows with my cable company on internet only, I could always Hotspot my tv to my phone and log into my HULU account that way. I have unlimited internet data on my phone.
There's more than one way to skin a cat.
