Pac12 expansion - looking to add 4 teams

Like I said, IF it isn't about increasing viewership/money (which it wouldn't IMO) and becoming the best G6 conference, this makes a lot of sense. While the AAC might not agree, I think it would be the best G6 conference by a long shot. JMO
Yup, if they just want TV's then Rice and North Texas would give them Houston and D/FW. Not in the numbers bigger schools here have, but its something.

Haha I mean I guess so. Probably isn't a rule about playing the same team twice in the regular season
According to our AD there is one cause our schedule lined up to play Boise State twice until Oregon traded us Boise for Texas Tech

Can't just look at it from a football standpoint. If they were to go with like a Texas State, Rice, Sam Houston then they could bring in some baseball as well.
Baseball is something that will heavily go into it since Oregon State is a national power

I agree the timing on this sucked for them. That does not disprove my point though. The B12 may have been a go after (IF) the ACC crumbles and a few join the B12. But that's not happening anytime soon it appears.

I still say calling Cal/Ford everyday and reminding them travel is better is the first play. Maybe asking them if adding someone like Rice (academics) helps at all.

I just don't think the B12 was ever going to be a realistic option, especially with their current commissioner. He's been trying to add Uconn and Gonzaga(in basketball). If he thought the P2 were worthy, they would have been added. Honestly, adding UConn makes a lot more sense than the P2 schools.

I also don't think Stanford and Cal are realistic coming back, even with ACC implosion.

I thought "markets" had taken a back seat to "viewership". I live in the Keller area. I see more Double T and Okie Lite logos on vehicles than any other schools...including TCU! And I can't figure out why but there seems to be a lot of alumni and/or fans of those two around here.

I could do it.

something like

Oregon State
Cal
Fresno
TT
Oregon
Houston
Wazzu
FCS
Uconn
Stanford
SMU
Southern Miss
Northwestern

WSU
Idaho
San Diego State
North Texas
Virginia
Washington
Oregon State
Notre Dame
Cal
NMSU
USC
Northwestern
Baylor

ND already has 11 games scheduled for 2025. And the Stanford game hasn't been formally agreed too. ND most likely isn't an option.

right so they are an option as of right now

Looks like we’re moving to the pac-6

I mean if we don't play Stanford for the first time in like 35 years yeah, I guess so. But I'd but that as basically a zero percent of happening.

Ooh nice I’ll do this next off-season on NCAA 25.

Baseball has nothing to do with it. Basketball has very little but is a consideration but baseball is an after thought.

Need to also nab Tulane, Memphis, ECU, USF as well imho.

It is the way of things …

Huh? Greenville, NC (ECU) instead of some Texas schools such as UTSA, North Texas, Texas State, Rice???

Also, IF the PAC decides to go as far eastward as Tampa (USF), then I believe Atlanta (Georgia State) would be a better eastern partner for USF than Greenville.

does that have something to do with stanford moving to the ACC and the ND agreement with the ACC?

what are the chances Stanford and Cal head back??

Who said the Big 12 would kick someone out?

Please explain in one way this is a downgrade for Oregon State and God’s team?
Perhaps I miss interrupted you meaning canabilize. Please expand on that?

You aren’t making near what you were, and this doesn’t look like it’ll be considered a power conference.

Gave ya two ways it a downgrade. You’re welcome.

He’s never going to get the votes for Uconn at this stage. UConn’s football program absolutely crushes their chances. They should be a shoe in given their market and hellacious good history in basketball. But this is about football. It’s why Gonzaga isn’t a member/partial member ether. OSU and WSU would have a good chance if we go to 24. It gives more B12 after dark games and really knocks out any chance of a “Power” conference re/forming in the west. That’s of course after the B12 grabs some remaining teams in the ACC.

Stanford and Cal ultimately want to be in the B1G but how hellousious this travel will be I could see them coming back to this given ACC implosion. They probably aren’t staying in the ACC if the ACC loses 8+.
