Oklahoma poised to become South Carolina West

Trying to understand any reasoning behind OU being favored, opening line or not, in this matchup.

I can understand some opening lines being a little wonky and why they float those out there…but OU opening at -3.5 is schizoid.

I don't recall ever seeing an opening spread flip 11 pts on the first day. :headscratch:

Must have been a lot of early money on the Vols to flip it that hard.

I’d think TN opening at -2.5 would have been an ample and very generous spur.

OU as an opening favorite? Hogwash.

Steer clear of this game IMO. I never wager on OU games with real cash personally.

Yeah, actually. This is part of why your glory days are over, nobody has a recruiting advantage any more. You went from being big dog in two conferences to being the Dust Bowl Gamecocks

But it's cool, we like money!

Tennessee is a paper tiger. This game should be up for grabs.

That was the line put up in preseason, it just hadn’t updated

This reminds me of the UT vs UM game from last week... Vegas wants people to take ou and the points.. Have a feeling this thing gets covered easily.. two possession win for TN

Sloppy Top wins by 20+

Hasn't the marquee game of the week been won by the visiting team so far this season? Aggy, UM and SCe all lost with Gameday in the house, right??

yikes

someone better snap that before UGA rolls into Austin LOL

Unless OU gets 8 to 10 players back this week I don't see them winning this game. JH will be out for revenge. OU's defense will hang in there for a while but if they are on the field all day like they have been they can only do so much.

I think your defense will keep you in the game.. but the offense has to put points on the board ..consistently.. Because as good as your defense is.. can't be giving an offense that has looked really good, so many extra snaps.. eventually big plays will happen.

This is the first really good defense ou will face like it will be for TN as well..

Could y'all at least beat Tennessee? After that, I don't really care how many games you lose

Likely the top game of the week for viewership. There's nothing to compete with it in that 7:30 (ET) time slot, and it's on broadcast tv to boot (ABC).

3:30 pm #11 USC @ #18 Michigan will get good viewership on CBS.
It'll be competing with #12 Utah @ #14 Okie Jr on FOX.

#24 Illinois @ #22 Nebraska on FOX should be in the top 5. It's competing with Stanford @ Syracuse on ESPN?

Agreed OU/Tennessee will likely be the highest rated game this upcoming weekend. My top 5 would be:

#1. Oklahoma vs. Tennessee
#2. USC vs. Michigan
#3. Marshall vs. Ohio State
#4. Baylor vs. Colorado
#5. Utah vs. Oklahoma State

Think Nebraska vs. Illinois just misses.

throw Texas vs ULM in the mix.. supposed to be an ESPN plus game BUT word is that they are going to flex it because of...

On another note...

Yesterday Kyler Murray became only the third Cardinal since 1960 to finish a game with a perfect passer rating.

And Baker Mayfield leads the NFL in passer rating.

And Dallas sucks!
