Who ya got winning it now that September has passed?

B.Y.U. has been the most impressive team to me so far.

Four way tie. Just don’t ask me which four.

Even though Tech is 2-0, I think we can rule out all four Texas schools. I think Kansas is out too. Az State doesn’t look that good even with their record. And I’m not buying Zona even with their Utah win.

How’s that for dodging the question?

I very much fear the 10-3 conference champ will miss the playoff.

It's Baylor's title to lose

Still like Utah

I was gonna post this question about the BIG XII @CoalTrain
I can see these teams devouring each other. I have not watched either Arizona school much. Colorado surprised me with the beatdown of UCF... and at UCF. Man, why can't Boise State be in the BIG XII now?

I feel whoever the people here say will be a voodoo mama juju curse on that team in their next game. Who remembers when ESPN used to do the ACC Coastal Wheel Of Destiny. No one wanted to win that division. I can see that happening here.

You are thinking like the rest of us fanatical CFB fans. That is of quality football. That doesn’t matter when it comes to realignment. It is all about the money! Second place is survival. Others try to rationalize that it isn’t about money, but it is.

That said, when the Big 12 added BYU, Cincy, UCF and Houston, I’m not sure they added all that much money…at least as far as football goes. At least not a hell of a lot more than Boise would have.

Houston hoops may have added some…but will that last? BYU can draw the LDS audience. UCF is getting to be one of the largest enrollments and is in Florida. But probably in the 4th seat. Not sure what Cincy brought financially other than #2 in Ohio.

It is a “nice” conference. But other than hoops, no schools move the needle significantly for national football viewership. At least nothing that will bring revenue anywhere close to the big 2.

I felt certain that once OU and Texas were gone that this conference would produce some wild/entertaining races for the title and playoff spot and so far.. so good.
Of the pre season favorites Utah was probably the best bet but with the QB staying injured that’s brought them back to the pack quite a bit. KState has shown some warts and Okie State already has a couple losses and while BYU has had a great start they also look very beatable. Even when the Big12 was just a 10 team league spots.. 3-8 or 9 would always be a crapshoot but now they have even more teams on the same or very near same level. I have no idea how it’s gonna shake out and I like that.
