AP Poll is interesting ...

If tOSU loses to Indiana, they will drop to 7th or 8th. I doubt that happens. But if they do:

1. There will be 4 CCs in front of them.
2. The two losers of the P2 CCGs will be in front of them.

They are 7th at best at this point.

PSU with one loss would be ahead of them, even with the H2H loss.

So, depending on who is in the SECCG, I'd say that with a loss to Indiana, tOSU will be 7th or 8th.

The scenario being discussed is Ohio State's second loss being to Oregon. They'll be in the #5 seed if that happens.

Best shot at SEC getting a 5th team in is Notre Dame dropping a game. Tough to see it happening based on how they are playing lately.

A&M vs. Texas should be an elimination game for both. Texas would have a grand total of zero ranked wins if they don't beat them. But this committee pretty clearly values the quality loss with where OSU, Texas, PSU and BYU were ranked Tuesday.

I'll be interested to see where Ole Miss is ranked since they have an atrocious loss to Kentucky. My guess is that gets overlooked. If they're ahead of ND, it will truly be laughable.
Let’s be honest ND hasn’t done anything to give people confidence they will perform in a post season situation because they tend to lay an egg.

On the other side of the coin under Kiffin Ole Miss has a tendency to over perform and will be battle tested in the SEC.

It would not be laughable to see them beat ND out for a spot. More than likely improbable due to ND’s rating draw but not laughable.

ND brings in the $$$ though. Like i've said a million times it's laughable that anyone thinks they aren't somewhat taking that into account.

Their laid eggs were against 2012 Bama, 2018 Clemson and 2020 Bama. It should be noted they lost by less than Bama did against Clemson in 2018 and less than OSU did against Bama in 2020. There aren't any teams this season as good as those were.

As for the Ole miss comparison, they would absolutely have a better resume and more good wins.

Therefore not laughable.

ND does have an edge with eyeballs so improbable.

I don't think you would get in, but it does depend on what else happens.

I assume you are assuming that you beat ATM. That would give you one quality win. And that would be a 3 loss teams ranked in the top 20. Your schedule otherwise is not challenging enough for you to be of the 4 SEC teams that get in.

Whoever is in the SECCG would be 2.
UGA, if we win out, would be 3.
Then it would be OM, UTjr that you would be competing against. I don't think you get in with a loss to Arky. UTjr also has a loss to Arky, but they beat Bama.

BTW, if you get beat by Arky and beat ATM, the SECCG would be Bama v. LSU. LOL.

While I totally agree with your sentiment, Bama is in the SECCG if we beat UTjr, eliminated from SECC if we don't. With wins over UGA and LSU, they would be a better 2 loss team than Texas who would have, at best, one quality win. And Bama beat UGA that Texas will have lost to.

TEXAS BRAND>>>>>>>

No way they leaving us out at 10-2

It would be because ND would have a much better resume, assuming they finish 11-1.

You keep riding that brand. You got the easiest schedule in the SEC. If you lose another game, you won't be one of the two loss teams, if the SEC gets 4 teams. If they get 5 you might.

Look, I am not trolling. But at the end of the day your brand is not going to overcome and beat out teams that simply are better than you with better SOS, and better results. This is where your weak schedule could hurt you.

As much as I like you, if this is the Texas arrogance we were warned about, I am going to laugh when it doesn't work out like you think it will.

FWIW, you won't lose to Arky ... your concern is @ATM. You lose to little brother you definitely aren't in as a two loss team as you wouldn't have a single significant win to point to, and with 5 or 6 two loss teams, and only 4 getting in, you would not be one of the 4, IMO.

If OSU loses to Indiana and misses out on the B1G CCG they should be grateful to get any seed they can.
I think the only way the B1G doesn't get 4 in is if tOSU just destroys IU. If you beat them 45-7 or something like that, they are out and a 5th SEC 2 loss team will get in.
