The Official SEC thread

why? it's not like Texans are trying to get to oklahoma lol.. it's the other way around

btw i didn't vote cause i think both candidates are shit.. but i don't sit around and bitch about politics.. none of it affects me... maybe my daughters in the near future but I've raised them good enough to use their brains.

It cracks me up when Yankees talk shit about the schools in the south and their rankings when I know up North in the most liberal areas everyone sends their kids to private schools.

Can you imagine paying the taxes to support public education and then forking out pretty much college education money for 13 years to get your kid through high school?

I honestly don’t want to hear shit from them.

Texas vs. A&M is the primetime game on ABC for 11/30.

UF vs. FSU relegated to ESPN2. Sorry @WhosYourDawggy but nobody is watching that.
I don't care, LOL. I basically hate both teams. And if I was wrong putting them on a list of games I thought would draw some eyeballs I'd be wrong. Like I give a fuck. SMH.

Paying for public schools through taxes and paying private school tuition is not an issue for the wealthy. They still have a lot of money left after doing so.

What I don’t get is the ones that don’t have the money to do so and take on a strangling amount of debt to pay for the tuition. They die before they pay it off.

So who do they put in the 7pm slot opposite us? I'm guessing ND v USC? I haven't paid attention if timeslots are already assigned to the non-SEC teams. Oregon v UW?

ND vs. USC and Oregon vs. Washington are 6 day holds. IU vs. Purdue is also a 6 day hold, but I'd be shocked if that was a CBS/NBC game.

I'm guessing CBS has the next in line selection for the B1G game because if NBC had it, it would be a no-brainer to pick ND vs. USC given the ND/NBC relationship.

If I had to guess, I think Oregon vs. Washington will be the game opposite A&M vs. Texas on NBC.

Oregon vs Washington would be over 10 minutes into that game. No offense to Washington but you know Oregon is going to be looking to hammer them.

god, am I glad those days are over.

The game is also in Eugene. I don't think it'll be much of a contest either.

As of now this is the competition for A&M vs. Texas

Wyoming at Washington State - 6:30 | CW
Oklahoma at LSU - 7:00 | ESPN
UF at FSU - 7:00/7:30 | ESPN2
*Purdue at Indiana - 7:00 | FS1
B1G game on NBC - 7:30
B12 game on Fox - 7:30
Virginia at Virginia Tech - 8:00 | ACC Network
Nevada at UNLV - 8:00 | CBSSN

*My assumption.

Actually, we will see if I am wrong. And if I am, I will own it as I always do. There are some here who might learn to do that and to not take the place so seriously. Sheesh.

I don't take this place seriously at all. Lol. Thinking UF vs. FSU is going to get 4 million viewers this year was/is absurd so I said something. The highest rated game on ESPN2 this season was 1.15 million viewers.

How are you feeling about the A&M numbers now that we get closer and doesn't look like strong competition in the time slot?

My guess would be around the 12-13 million range. UGA/TX got a little over 13 million. But the competition in that slot was even worse than what it will be this particular weekend. Iowa/Michigan State was the NBC game. Ark/LSU was the ESPN game and Kansas State/WVU was the Fox game.

If the ND vs. USC game is the NBC that will take a larger chunk out of the A&M/TX game.

I'd be pretty shocked if it did over 15 million. I think there's only been about 5 or 6 that have gone above that in the last decade.

Ok, so you are coming around. Will be interesting to see the results for sure.

yeah man it was a wild take ESPECIALLY with how bad FSU has been.. one win team?

I think I initially said 10-12? If the ND/SC game is the NBC game, I can see it falling between that. Between what's already been announced, I think that'll take away about 4-5 million viewers or so. Between the LSU/OU, UF/FSU and IU/Purdue games. There'd have to be approx 23 million people watching CFP that Saturday night for it to eclipse 15 million.
