Guess BV will take his scholarship offer soon?

lord knows i don't like Baylor.. but I think they are the best team in the Big12 right now.. they are playing their best football in years right now

The Big 12 teams are really hard to actually gauge because everyone besides like 2 maybe 3 teams are so below average

Baylor started 2-4

They've won 4 in a row but those were

Texas Tech who is 6-4 but lost 3 of their last 4 games
Oklahoma State a bad 3-7 team
3 Point win over TCU a meh 6-4 team
West Virginia a meh 5-5 team who's best win is against 5-5 Cincinnati.

I'm thinking ASU might win it all.

Colorado has beat a bunch of very below average Big 12 teams. One of those was miracle luck to beat a meh 6-4 Baylor team. These are games they should probably win at this point and we are supposed to pretend like Deion is re-inventing the wheel.

Their other L was also to a Kansas State team whos proving to not be very good down the stretch (they have lost 2 in a row one of those was to a awful Houston team)

They avoided Arizona State Iowa State and BYU in the regular season. Their last 2 games are against 4-6 Kansas and 3-7 Oklahoma State. Basically they were gifted the easiest path to the BIg 12 title game possible.
This is why I'm not even slightly impressed by his "turnaround" at Colorado. His bravado from his playing days got a lot of talented guys to sign with him, but they're still not a very good team. As we've seen in the portal era, it's not that big of an accomplishment to turn around a loser in quick order. He's getting to turn around a team that is giving him every dollar he asks for, and he plays in the worst P4 conference in the country, which may not even be one of the 4 best conferences overall.

If and when he can beat anyone, like anyone at all, outside of that trash conference that's even worth a damn, I'll be impressed. At this point his season has been much less impressive than those at Indiana, Vanderbilt, Illinois, BYU, SMU, and I'm probably missing others.

I thought Colorado would be a 6-6/7-5 type team so I guess I have to give credit that he got them to better than that but it's still not impressive as some are making it out to be

they were 1-11 before Deion got there.. 4-8 his first season.. currently 8-2 in his second season..

he completely overhauled the roster once he got there.. he even got a 5 star OT to commit and is a starter his true fish year

this is IMPRESSIVE

Think you are just being really harsh

He had a completely different team for the most part in both years, he's not building off much just rolling the dice flipping the roster every year

and it's worked when most of us said it wouldn't.. c'mon man lol

I hate Deon. I've ripped him here. I am an SEC homer, admittedly. But, I love CFB. I am the guy watching PAC After Dark. I watch the late B12 games because they are can be a lot of fun. Whether Deon has done a good job or not, ensuring that teams from all conferences have a guaranteed shot each year adds to the overall greatness of the sport. I will hate the day that the only thing that matters is the SEC and the B1G. I want the excitement of Colorado, or BYU, or Baylor, or Pitt rushing the field and having a great time a a CFB game. That's what it is all about. I don't want a 6th or 7th SEC team getting in. Four or five is plenty, if not too many. But getting representation across the board is good for CFB and you never know when one of those other teams gets hot and knocks of one of the teams from the bigger conferences.

It's not gonna work every year. It didn't work the first year, they were better than they mess before but still a bad team.
jesus man he's not at tosu.. or Texas or Bama.. he's at CU..

I also thought that, but I also thought teams like Oklahoma State, Arizona, Utah, WVU, and Kansas would also be at least fairly good and they're all largely garbage. Seeing who he's beaten and several times how closely he's beaten them cheapens whatever accomplishments he has.

What has worked is the Big 12 has been the worst P4 conference in the nation and he's avoided the only 3 teams in the conference worth a damn. Put them in the B1G and, depending on their schedule, they're likely 2-8 at this point instead.

I don't disagree with your opinion from the standpoint of getting teams from different conferences, but why should a team get a shot at a NC, not to mention a top 4 seed, because they played a G5 schedule while a 10 win team from the B1G or SEC that has had actual challenges get left out? I hate the autobids for this reason. Colorado has 0 business getting a first round bye and top 4 seed with what they've done this year. I am going to be rooting hard for Kansas this Saturday.

Because as long as there is a P4, you have to let them in. I am ambivalent about the byes. But the whole tournament is better with more teams from different conferences, IMO.

I don't disagree, but the ACC and Big 12 need to get their shit together. Teams like Clemson, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Utah, TCU, etc. aren't doing their conferences any favors by playing well below their potential this year.

If he loses 5-stars with his bullshit then his seat is going to get even hotter. Also would free up some NIL money to buy him out.

Also factor in they were in a different conference, one that had much better teams. Still impressive what he was able to draw, but let's not oversell how good Colorado is.
