This is a big week for the BE. Need some some good wins. Bummer that Creighton will have an uphill battle w/o Ashworth.

I think the league has 8 top 100 Kenpom wins as a whole and half those are MU. Need way more.

St Johns already basically ruined their non con resume from a getting good wins standpoint.

UConn and X need to perform. And would be preferred if teams like Prov and Butler can have some success too.

Yeah, this is a huge week for all the conferences. But most notably the BE and ACC since they've gotten off to slower starts. I don't love Creighton without Ashworth. Hopefully he's not out to long. Their next 6 games are insane. All top 100 KenPom teams and at least 3 ranked teams, possibly 4 depending who they get in their 3rd PEF matchup.

Yeah, St John's best opportunities might be behind them.

And if Xavier can perform well, I think that's the leagues best shot at a 5th tournament team. But they need to add something to their resume. The wake win is nice, but that'd only be a Q3 win with Wake struggling in the metrics.

This week will definitely show a lot. The SEC has been really good OOC so far. We'll see if that continues.

I'm not old enough to remember late stage SWC in football but man, current day ACC basketball has to be a decent comp. Former powerhouse league that just fucking sucks now. At least SWC had the cheating excuse. I wonder if the ACC having a disproportionate amount of private schools is playing a role here.

It's crazy how down the league has been for the past couple years. Not that long ago Duke, UVA and UNC were all 1 seeds in the tournament. I don't think realignment has helped, and I think programs are either going through coaching transitions (Cuse, UL) or holding on to coaches too long. The league really needs Cuse, UL, ND and UVA to get their shit together. Who knows maybe Stanford can get back to what they were in the 90's and early 2000's.

They still continue to pull Final 4 spots out of their ass though.

This wont fully hold

But right now Marquette is tracking to play more Q1 games in their 11 non con games. Then 20 BE games

Yuck.

Yep, Wisconsin gets Michigan, Illinois and Marquette for their next 3 games in an 8 day span.

This week is enormous for the BE. Basically the last chance for good OOC wins. St John's, Creighton, Xavier and UConn are must win IMO. If Butler could somehow get a win, that'd be huge too. After Marquette, Butler probably has the best at large case, despite the terrible loss to Austin Peay.

The fact DePaul is currently 1 of the 4(non MU) Q1 road games in BE is so gross.

Like happy that Holtmann already has them with a pulse. But 1. its still DePaul and 2. they havent actually played anyone.

Its imperative at the very least that Creighton/X rise from the dead before conference play

I think UConn will beat Baylor, and St Johns will beat KSU, but after that it's dicey. X/TCU is intriguing. TCU is down this year, good chance for X to notch, what would likely be a Q2 win.

DePaul being decent (and to an extent Gtown) has at least raised the floor this year. But Seton Hall and Nova nose diving has really hurt. Nova might be able to recover (Columbia and UVA aren't Q4), and they still have Cincy tomorrow. But that's only based on what I thought they'd be preseason.
