Do you remember?

It's a little of this and a little of that.

As an Iowa State fan, the Cyclones have been a really fun team to watch since 2017. They literally have a chance to win or lose against every team on their schedule and have won more than they have lost and have been a solid upper level Big XII team since 2017 (including 2020 and 2024 CCG) with the exception of the 2022 Dud season where they finished last in the conference.

Under Coach Campbell, ISU has won in every Big XII Stadium in which he has led the team including @ Oklahoma and @ Texas before they left and vs. new additions @ Cincinnati, @ BYU, @ Houston and @ Utah. He is yet to coach @ UCF, @ Colorado, @ Arizona or @ Ariz. State, but they are coming up sooner or later.

As for Bowls, they are not fun for Iowa State. Usually playing up against better teams, and ISU has not been up for the task - with the exceptions of the 2017 Liberty Bowl win vs. Memphis and the 2021 Fiesta Bowl win vs. Oregon. Hopefully, the Cyclones can beat Miami (Fla.) on Saturday to change my mind a bit about this. Who knows?
No one has even heard about Iowa state since playoffs ruined college football

This has been the best CFB regular season

We have a 12-team playoff with Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, Notre Dame still alive. Arizona State and Boise State have a chance to play spoiler.

The last 5 bowl games have all been decided by one score, with THIRTEEN COMBINED OVERTIMES

What kind of sad sack-of-shit isn't having "fun" this year????

College football is sill fun...so long as you aren't FSU or Oklahoma.

Hell, even for Oklahoma...you can't tell me you didn't have fun watching your team beat the shit out of Bama.
Brent Venables killing all the joy of Sooners fans is amazing

The honks who like what has happened to college football also like to put salt on their rear end and go to the petting zoo. When they are laying in the grass, they was thinking who is the victim here? The animals love it and they have a wonderful time.

Remember yesterday when college football was fun?

We all looked forward to virtually every bowl game, as there weren’t 100 of them.

You didn’t have guys opting out.

Year to year there weren’t many dominant teams that could string it together for a decade. There was a good balance.

Back then New Years Day was chocked full of parades and games that meant something.

I remember.
Sept 10 2001 called

Yeah we were so happy watching LSU and Bama play for the 3rd time in a season for the NCG blowout. I remember those times.

Basically his team sucks and it is no fun. Been there, everyone has been there at some point and nothing is fun. The portal has definitely changed football for better or worse but the CFP has given teams more of a chance, a chance they never had before

I thought the OU-Navy game was great. Beautiful day, sold out, close game decided by a two-point conversion. Underdog winning. I love those kind of Bowl Games! :)

Well, that's okay by me, but you might enjoy a CFB Saturday @ Jack Trice Stadium!:)

I can remember the fucking Blue Bonnet Bowl being something.

Getting up early, smelling the black-eyed peas and ham and cornbread cooking. Watching all the parades. Still enjoying the xmas buzz a week later.

Growing up was bad enough....now one of my few passions is a bucket of shit basically. All loyalty is gone, won't be university names someday....it will be sold to some empty corporate shell...nothing to feel pride in.

Always remember...be careful what you wish for, because you might just get it.
Buddy those parades are still there trust me. And 5 years from now when EVERY team with a bowl eligible record gets into the play off that lasts two months Ala March Madness you will miss these good old days

With that said, I do not understand people complaining about blowouts in the playoffs. Who gives a shit? You act as if blowouts never occur. Not only do they occur somewhat regular, they have happened in the national title game, they happen in the NFL playoffs too (including the super bowl) where maximum parity is supposed to exist. Stop being a fag and bitching about more football.

If you want to ensure the circles between the most deserving and the best overlap as much as possible, then start talking about adopting similar scheduling to that of the NFL. It is doable, though it would obviously work best with either a pod system or restructuring conferences back to roughly 8-10 teams.

If you think that is dumb or unfeasible... well, you're wrong and shut the fuck up retard. And for the love of everything, stop complaining about watching more football. No one is making you watch, go turn on cycling or rewatch your sexual reassignment surgery, but stop bitching.

I don’t recall the non playoff bowl games being this good in quite a while. Very unexpected.

and ruined it all for a playoff where we get to watch a bunch of blowouts until the final 4 matchup anyway.
It’s was diluted long before the playoffs came. Not to mention they featured plenty a blowout as we saw today

That is a bit odd and specific. Sometimes it’s best to push those type of feelings deep, deep inside of you, so they never come out again.

You copied that from @OregonDucks “other interests” portion of his resume, didn’t you.
