Crazy, bitch ass weather

Southeast Nebraska, Northern Kansas, Northern Missouri.

"The winter storm has begun across the area with impacts already being felt. Blizzard conditions are expected from late tonight through Sunday night across northern Missouri and northeast Kansas where 12 to 18 inches of snow will be possible with wind gusts 30-40 mph which may reduce visibility to 1/4 mile or less. Further south near the I-70 corridor and south a wintry mix is expected tonight before transitioning to snow Sunday morning. Ice accumulations of a tenth to half an inch of ice and an inch of sleet will be possible before the change over to snow."

Gotta say, the weather predictions are pretty spot on now a days. I think it is AI. Local guy all week was saying a line of rain would hit us "around 7am Sunday" and then the cold would follow.

At 7am on the freaking dot this morning I heard the wind pick up, the windows pop/creak, and the rain hit the roof. Impressive.

Must be better there than here.

East of Urbana, IL. Be couch planted.

Same.

No reason to go anywhere until tomorrow sometime to get a 30 lb bag of dog food. He's got enough to last him today and tomorrow morning. I have pool league tomorrow night so I'll have to go out anyway.
We're 13° with a 25 mph north wind. Got the Hot Blast wood burner going in the basement and fireplace in the living room fired up.

I'm not an NFL guy, but it's football so I'll watch some. Maybe some old westerns on Grit tv (Wyatt Earp and Silverado are on today).
Got plenty of snacks and a lb of ground beef thawed in the fridge. Not sure what I'll do with that yet. Probably tacos/burritos.
