2024 Natty discussion: tOSU vs ND

Are you fucking retarded? They were ranked 5th, and seeded 7th.
Took the OSU fan’s claim of ranked third at face value

But you have to pretty fucking retarded to get bent out of shape over something so trivial.

So, basically, cry moar

It isn’t. I’ve said this for years. View attachment 130717
Again, you are entitled to value any regular season game over titles that you wish. Fan your way. You cannot project that on others though.

It is your instance that every single Ohio State fan will be eaten alive by that loss even if they win the title and cannot enjoy it that is utterly stupid.

I'd suspect the vast majority will not care at all or at least very little. Winning the very first expanded playoff national championship isn't a consolation for most fans. It is the ultimate goal of every team and nearly every fan.

Sure I can. It’s what sucks the most for Ohio state fans. Every Michigan fan is going to throw it in their face for the rest of their life. Scoreboard is the ultimate argument. Cute little trophy they could potentially win though. We got one last year, right after we beat Ohio state.

Yes I'm sure when the trivia question comes up "who won the first expanded national championship?" Everyone will be like "but they lost to Michigan!" Dumbass.

This is going with the hypothetical Ohio State wins it. Not taking ND for granted

Because it will be phrased like “after the largest upset in rivalry history, which team came back to win the first expanded playoff”.

Also there’s 0% chance ND wins.

Nope, if a genie came to me and said "you will win the natty but lose to Michigan" Id gladly take that trade.

For the majority of my adult life OSU has owned Michigan. But they have just the 2 nattys

The funny thing is that Ohio state fans know it is true, they just can’t admit it because they dont have a choice. Let’s turn to the cbus dispatch before the season. View attachment 130719

Awkward!
It was an online poll. We all know how great online polls are.

Pretty much only he and OD would put the rivalry above a title, but I'm not 100% sure even OD would still do that even with his way over the top homerism. Let's find out:

@OregonDucks you can only have 1:
A - End your season 14-2 with a national championship, but you lose badly to UW along the way or -
B - You finish 8-5 on the year with a pretty decent low tier bowl win, but you get the largest upset win vs UW in series history. Oh, and UW ends up winning the title though.

Any of the rest of you can change the teams to rep your own rivalry and answer the same question. I'd take losing to Oregon but winning the championship over beating them but watching them win the championship every fucking single time without hesitation. So would most of you.
