Big Ten Basketball

tOSU roundball team saying "look at us too!"

Iowa has been removed from NCAA consideration

Gophers showing a pulse. Could be a serious landmine for a lot of big 10 teams the last two months

What's going on in the UCLA/Wisc game? Showed an 84-83 final for UCLA, then a second went back up. I don't have peacock.

Look out. Here come the Gophers!
To maybe make the B1G tournament

Team is still 75% incompetent. Hence nearly blowing that game. And finding ways to lose most others.

But they’ve been extremely competitive vs OSU and Maryland. Then beat Michigan and Iowa.

Probably gonna ruin a teams seed or bid another 2-3 times

Nebraska hasn't won a game in 3 weeks. A 4 game losing skid.

They've gone from 6th or 7th in the Big 10 standings down to 15th.

Lets cool it on Illinois is clearly the most talented big 10 team talk

Talent only does so much, you have to actually win consistently

I would still say that they are the most talented. They are extremely inconsistent though. They didn't have Ivisic tonight which was a huge loss. Terps ate them up inside. Fully healthy I think they're a top 15 team. Every B1G team has flaws/bad losses. Illinois has probably already taken on too many losses to win the league though.

No center is tough. But the gophs have fat Frank Mitchell, 8 year D2 Parker fox at center and Queen/Reese didn’t go for 52 lol.

Maryland hit their first 3 of the game with like 10 minutes left and rolled.

Illinois is dangerous. But hard to call a 6 loss team with 3 home losses. 2 pretty bad. And a loss to northwestern. Much of a threat.

Also underwood is admitting to calling officials. That’s a broken man.

Well, I thought Purdue at home vs Ohio State was a great bet. Definitely failed.

Luckily that made Purdue at home vs Michigan days later juicer. I bet up -3.5 to 6.5. Shoulda went higher

The Mackey beatdown was imminent.

IM also curious on Fran at Iowa

Is it that he literally does not recruit D or coach D?

Because every time I watch them, every year. They have 3 players at minimum where from a offensive stand point Im like "yeah, put them on my team before every other top 25 team takes them"

Honestly most of it is effort on D historically

But that's coaching

Typically MOST coaches are going to sit your ass down when you don't even bother to try on D. Fran doesn't do that. Ever. And has time has gone is trickled down to be a known deal at Iowa that your D is irrelevant as long as you can score

id prefer Fran to be much more invol ed in the portal for that reason. When we get transfers there usually our best defenders because they haven't didn't enough time at Iowa to know they don't need to play D ( see Thelwell this year or Rebraca a few years ago )

Sounds like Illinois' big man is out long term. He has mono.

Top 100 @Hitman Hart . You're welcome.
yep, saw the score at the Wake game last night. the Minnesota/Wake game was one of the worst games i have seen two high majors play and yet...they are both top 100 in late January.

The Gophers winning 3 Q1 games in a row is the most shocking thing I've witnessed since I was a fan. I figured Wake would improve as the year went on, but never guessed the Gophers would. Since Jan 15th the Gophers are playing like a top 25 team according to Torvik. Prior to that on the year not even top 100. It's crazy.
