Notre Dame opening the season at Miami is the Sunday night week 1 game. 7:30 kickoff on ABC

The Monday night Labor Day is TCU at UNC. 7:30 kickoff on ESPN.

The whole ACC slate for week 0 and week 1

Looks like a Sunday doubleheader the day before Labor Day with Virginia Tech vs. South Carolina.

Some great Saturday games:

LSU at Clemson (ABC/ESPN)
Syracuse vs. Tennessee (ABC/ESPN)
Alabama at FSU (ABC/ESPN)
Georgia Tech at Colorado (ABC/ESPN/FOX/FS1)

ND/Miami being on Sunday is giving me some hope that OSU/Texas won't be the damn noon game. Should comfortably be able to put that at 7:30/8:00 and get the viewers.

Who's broadcasting it? If it's fox, it's gonna be noon

Normally I'd agree, but with the other games being what they are, I'm not sure that would actually help them. I could see Bama/FSU being an afternoon game since FSU sucks, so I'm not sure who would really compete in primetime. ND/Miami was the only game I was concerned with but now that's Sunday.

I'd be stunned if it's not BNK.

Texas/Ohio State should be a Saturday night game with the full playoff treatment - drone shows, fireworks, it should be awesome.

Hopefully NBC gets this one instead of Fox.

My early take would be:

OSU vs. Texas - 12:00 | Fox
Cuse vs. Tennessee - 12:00 | ABC
FSU vs. Bama - 3:30 ABC
GT vs. Colorado - 3:30 | Fox
Clemson vs. LSU - 7:30 | ABC.

Sadly enough, you're probably right.

I'd be pretty surprised if Fox's first 3 picks weren't OSU/Michigan, TEX/OSU and Oregon/PSU.
Oh I'm sure you're right. I just hate how this allowed to keep happening. I understand we're going to probably play 7-8 games at Noon moving forward, it's just disgusting. OSU/Texas is a monster game, it will draw incredible ratings in any timeslot, but the ratings at noon might be slightly higher so the fans all get screwed to make insanely wealthy people even richer.

This was announced a while ago and I must have missed it, but Nebraska vs. Cincinnati will be played Thursday, August 28th in Kansas City. Makes me think this might be on ESPN like Colorado was last year in game 1 on Thursday.

Need to drag a Fox exec into the streets and show them to a guillotine

Honestly when is Ohio State along with Michigan and PSU going to start pressuring FOX to start considering a 4pm start for these big games?

Yes yes yes @ericd7633 we know they get good ratings. But it’s getting good ratings regardless. I mean the only saving grace for some these B1G (pun intended) B10 games starting later is they are on the west coast.

No one’s saying they need to compete with ESPNs top late night SEC game every Saturday, but perhaps they would be better served putting something like Indiana at Northwestern at noon and not at night while Penn State at Ohio State enjoys a 4pm kick??? Maybe I’m off here though.

It must be language in the massive contract they signed, otherwise, it makes no sense. Maybe the B1G AD's bitch enough this offseason and changes are made, unless Fox just really doesn't give a fuck and insists on noon kickoffs. It's hurting the B1G brand.

I am still not convinced that Fox will get the OSU/Texas game.

Fox gets first pick for the season and always Take OSU/Michigan. If CBS gets pick 2, it will be at 3:30. If NBC pick 2, it will be 7:30PM.

Ohh it definitely is if I had to guess. It just is ridiculous but they get good ratings so it’s most likely not ending until the next contract negotiations but the B1G should start inquiring about that. Again, doesn’t have to be night but a 4pm start.

B1G can always take less money to start dictating start times
