2025 Scheduling Updates

I am still not convinced that Fox will get the OSU/Texas game.

Fox gets first pick for the season and always Take OSU/Michigan. If CBS gets pick 2, it will be at 3:30. If NBC pick 2, it will be 7:30PM.

According to everything I've read, Fox gets the first 3 selections. Last year they traded the 3rd selection(which ended up being Oregon/OSU) to get, I believe it was picks #6 and #7. Since Fox pays the larger amount to broadcast these games, I'm guessing the stipulation still applies to this year.

The other large point, in terms of scheduling, is that outside of TX/OSU, the B1G has terrible hosting OOC games. So there's really no inventory in that regard to Fox potentially not picking TX/OSU.

So Oklahoma vs Michigan doesn't have to worry about being on fucking Fox?

Sadly, this sounds right and sucks a big bag.

Fox made Oklahoma kick at 11:00/Noon every fucking week.

Welcome to their world.

They paid in order to put the games at noon.
And, if B1G fanbases (rightly so) are irritated with this they should bring concerns to the conference who can do so with the network during the next negotiations. Nothing is going to happen before that I acknowledge. But I share the opinion of frustration in some of these good games being a Noon kick as well.

Nothing will happen until a new deal is signed.

"Or, FOX doesn't need to put every good Eastern or Central start time at Noon."
Way to skip over

I even bolded the part you ignored. To help

I love the major/important games being at noon... I can watch the noon game, and then get stuff done afterwards. I don't like important games at 3:30pm. I also enjoy major/important games in prime time.

Oh I'm sure you're right. I just hate how this allowed to keep happening. I understand we're going to probably play 7-8 games at Noon moving forward, it's just disgusting. OSU/Texas is a monster game, it will draw incredible ratings in any timeslot, but the ratings at noon might be slightly higher so the fans all get screwed to make insanely wealthy people even richer.
It’s the worst. The Michigan Texas game being a noon game last year was down right criminal.

I think the 3:30 slot is my sweet spot. If it’s an away game I can mow the yard, run and get food and do all sorts of things and then settle down to watch the 3:30 and 8pm games.

The noon time slot always screws it up for the fans that put up money traveling, buying tickets for a marquee matchup. I had a good time in AA, but it would have been nicer if the kickoff would have started at 3:30pm than noon. There's something about hanging out with your fellow fans and even the opposing ones for hours before hitting the gates to the stadium.

Marquee games that should be allowed on noon are the ones we have always had at that timeslot.. tosu/UM.. even UT/ou. FOX just normalizing it on their program that the biggest games should be at noon. I'm glad we are done with them after this season for the next 2 years OOC wise. tosu and UM come to Austin and those will be primetime or the 3:30pm slot for sure..

*personally i hope they move up the season to start in the middle of August.. and they put the kickoff times at 2:30pm here in Austin.. I want to see tosu and um melt under an avg August afternoon down here :)

Hell, in August and September it doesn't matter what time they kick off. It is hotter than hell from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. And if there is high humidity and no wind, this old man is heading for the AC!
