It was before my 1982 cutoff. I don't hate that song or album. After that 1982 cutoff, though... mostly 'meh'.
I saw rush in 83 and they were brilliant.

...Playing stuff they produced before 1983.I saw rush in 83 and they were brilliant.
Rocks is one of my favs.Agree. I think their best album was their first one ... titled Aerosmith. It was just raw rock and sounded like it was recorded in their garage. What a fun album.
Piece of Mind from Iron Maiden came out in 1983....Playing stuff they produced before 1983.
I know how peeps like the scorpions but they are one of the bands I just don't like. I have a few that I just can't take.I could have easily had the Scorpions or Van Halen on my mountain…. Damn need a bigger mountain…
Yep.Aerosmith's commercial success was bigger in the 80's but I think their best music was in the 70's
I only know them from one song and that fucked up Virgin Killer album cover. The album cover put me off and Rock you Like a Hurricane didn’t warrant a deeper diveI know how peeps like the scorpions but they are one of the bands I just don't like. I have a few that I just can't take.
In late 70's I lived in the New Orleans area. A kid wore a concert tshirt his parents must have gotten. I always thought it was cool. Then as older I got I was exposed to them on a larger scale (classic rock stations).I only know them from one song and that fucked up Virgin Killer album cover. Zz Top's music in the 70s was the cat's ass. Their 80s stuff was too commercial for me.ZZ TOP
AC/DC
Van Halen
The Cars my favorite albums were 70's ....
Oh man they had some awesome stuff in several eras. My Heads in Mississippi is fucking great.Zz Top's music in the 70s was the cat's ass. Their 80s stuff was too commercial for me.
Love the Cars and the cars in the 70s too![]()
Being generous calling any U2 album decent IMO. Never heard a song by them that I liked at allI can't think of a band I hate more than U2.
Put out one decent album and have been buttfucking the shit out of it since.
I was trying to be objective. They suck barrels of dicks.Being generous calling any U2 album decent IMO. Never heard a song by them that I liked at all
I saw the Grateful Dead on an off night for them ... worse than a Yoko Ono concert.I’m a big U2 fan, saw them live for the first time in 2017 and… it was rough.
I once said that Conway Twitty’s retarded son, Michael opening for George Jones, sounding terrible and running so long that they had to cut power because George Jones was threatening to leave was the worst concert I’ve been to. That was until I saw Bob Dylan last year. I love Bob Dylan, but his song choice sucked and he sounded terrible, and I don’t go for the age excuse. I saw Merle Haggard about a year before he died and he sounded just like he did on the radioI saw the Grateful Dead on an off night for them ... worse than a Yoko Ono concert.
I saw George and Confederate Railroad a little over a year before he passed. He didn't have the voice of his youth, and couldn't hit/hold notes like he was young but IMHO he sounded better for it. Bob is THE wordsmith.I once said that Conway Twitty’s retarded son, Michael opening for George Jones, sounding terrible and running so long that they had to cut power because George Jones was threatening to leave was the worst concert I’ve been to. I used to see George every year as a kid. Front row at Lanier Land. He was my favorite at the time. Still hold him in high regardI saw George and Confederate Railroad a little over a year before he passed. He would no show our area. Buying tickets were a gamble, at best. And yes, I loved him too.I used to see George every year as a kid. Front row at Lanier Land. He was my favorite at the time. Still hold him in high regard
