This is America, land of the free. If a guy or a girl want to take hormones and have surgery to live as the opposite gender, it’s possible. It’s legal. Let ‘em be. Live and let live. For incarceration of criminals, if they’re post-op, put ‘em with the gender they’re trying to be. If they’re pre-op, put ‘em with the gender in which they were born.
As for high school, collegiate, and Olympic sports, I do not believe that there’s a place for trans people on gender specific events. Non gender specific and mixed events, OK. Pro leagues can make their own rules.
There just aren’t that many trans people. One could argue they’re statistically insignificant to the population. Let ‘em live as they want to live, but if the majority of natural born females don’t want m-f trans participating in their gender specific sports, that’s the breaks. Trans can find another way to satisfy their athletic inclinations.
