Big East Basketball

Massive fucking win. As I said, we've been playing better for a bit but still losing games down the stretch vs anyone with a pulse

1st half today was pathetic defensively and mostly bad on offense. Big comeback. Closed it out. Needed some sort of win to hopefully get momentum next week.

Just stay healthy tomorrow. Honestly prefer an L I think. Rest and go into tourney. Just needed a win

I think they were in pretty easy with a win. Probably still Dayton but in. There isn't gonna be enough bid thiefs

This 7:00 window was/is fucking nice. DePaul/CU in 2OT, UL wins it at the buzzer, Texas Tech survives against Baylor.

They may clear the cupboard just like last year.

The rent a team is getting frustrating to watch. I don't mind being a bubble team, but need some consistency of players year to year.

Forsure.

Will see next year if shakas culture strategy finally has some real pains. But the one positive to it at all times is being able to really know players and watch them for years

If I’m gonna be a fan of a full reset team each year they better be doing damage 90% of seasons.

I don't think so.

Nova is big on culture and relationships, and I think he's a good guy. Obviously he's a terrible coach. But no matter recent success, Villanova is still not Kentucky.

Obviously at some point if they keep missing the NCAA, he will be, but I think he has a little more rope.

I do envy what Marquette has going on. In retrospect, I was almost amazed the last two years that Shaka did not go after at least one or two big transfers, but I get it.
 
I know you cant call every foul. But if you SJU was called for 50% of what they do, Pitino would be looking for fans to suit up at half. This is crazy.

That said, have got to stop the fucking TOs. Joplin travels are enough to make the strongest of sober people drink

Johnnies deserved it. We played like trash. But the shit they get away with is insane.

You need to beat St Johns from outside and Marquette didn't shoot well.

I'm interested to see how they do in the tourney.

They're almost undefeated, but that was all in the Big East and they're noncon was shit.

I'm not shocked obviously, but ... mildly surprised by the news.

I would love Chris Beard, I think he'd have this program in national contention in not time, but that's not happening. No connection or cultural fit.

Shaka Smart, probably not happening.

I like Jaimie Dixon and Anthony Grant.
