Ya, I guess. I am hardwired to resist societal norms. If they get huge, I tend to not even listen to 'em. The cult pushes me away. I still haven't watched a single second of Game of Thrones.

I hear ya, I avoided a lot of grunge and pop bands in the late 90's and early aughts for the same reasons.

For years I avoided the Grateful Dead because I couldn't stand the Deadheads. I started listening to them after Jerry died but haven't much recently. They get old quickly.

There's a lot of GREAT shit from the underground in the 90's. Cows, Kyuss, The Jesus Lizard, The Wipers....to name a few.

FTR, I'm annoyed by Dave Matthews Band fans and find most of them to be pretty douchey, BUT I also like DMB's music so sometimes I wonder if I'm a douche. Had a pretty funny internal discussion with myself while high as fuck at the last DMB show I was at.

Jack Harlow. My son who was in kindergarten at the time said his teacher let them listen to Jack Hartmann in class. Trying to be a good dad, I figured I should probably check it out. Random - Bone Thugs N Harmony had a White Sox opening day concert at the Ramova - venue in my neighborhood down the street from the park. I lol'd when I saw that and thought yous OH types would be tickled by that.
