Bookie:
$ 210,000.00
Dude came up in a rusted out Bonneville and asked for the mid-tier product, with the tire shine. Only rubes get the tire shine, most folks either cheap out on the basic, or they've got money for the full wax and everything.

So this guy is wearing a "Hulk Hogan" shirt. Not that there's a pic of Hulk on it, just that it's bright yellow and has four or five lateral rips in the chest area. I half expected him to shred it at any minute. Anyway, I got him to sign up for the monthly unlimited because I said something about his "cobras" and asked if he was a professional body-builder.

I could tell the dude was stunned when I put the sticker on his windshield. He thought he was just getting unlimited for the rest of the month, for 15 dollars. Well, he is until May the 8th. Cha-CHING!

I bet he sprung for the undercarriage was too, huh?

what a loser.

hope you got a commission from fleecing this dude.

Oh, fosho, but we don't do it for the money, we do it for the grift

Bravo! As the saying goes, there is a sucker born everyday. Not sure when this Hulkster was born but definitely a sucker

He even bought the "new car smell" Magic Tree!
Classic!!!!
Next time he comes through, and he will almost certainly have to return, have him sign up for a time share in Boca Raton!

OMG, he's back already! At first I thought he was coming to complain to the manager, but he pulled right up to the bay and asked for another wash. I think he realizes he'd better get his money's worth.

Me and the rest of the guys have a side bet on how long his rusted out rear quarterpanel lasts until we're fishing it out of the machinery

His front transmission fluid was spot-on but the rear transmission needs a full service tune-up.
reminds me...I need to get my differential fluid changed...that shit is $$$ though.

need to look into whether I can do it myself

It's not easy but you can do it and, IMO, the best advantage of all to changing your fluids is that you can let that shit drain until every single drop is out instead of quick-change places leaving a bunch in there. Also, you're trusting that they're putting in good shit. Do it yourself!

sigh...ok ok

better than spending $1000+ on my local place...but the Tacoma is close to hitting 200k miles...it needs to get done

probably tons of good Youtube videos to walk you through it. Put premium shit back in there and you shouldn't have to do it again for a very long time.

I just changed oil at three years old and 33k miles on it and it was clean as a whistle and tons of viscosity left. People changing synthetic oil on new engines every 5k miles are completely out of their minds. If you're going to do it, at least do the kind thing and do it at a Mexican's shop so he can then put the perfectly fine oil in his own cars.

I do it every 10k or so but for a 2011 Tacoma...it doesn't bother me. Easy task.
