Tennessee & Nico in a contract dispute?

Wonder if he has tried crawling back to Tennessee yet
If he does and I was Tennessee I would be like

My interest is wanning and I'm watching a lot more NFL these days.

College basketball is safe for me because I love basketball and the NBA is just trash so there aren't any options.

I'm not saying I won't watch but it kinda sucks watching college ball and talking about how much kids are making the whole time. It just feels wrong.
Your football team also sucks. You have to factor that into it. Perhaps that is why you like college basketball where your team is really good.

Please let him lose money for this crap.
There really is no one out there who can pay him 4 million. This is going to be an epic fuck up at the end of the day and I am going to love every minute of it. Could be a total reset to the market, and make people think twice before getting greedy.

No we’ve had bad years in the past and I’ve chalked it up to development years and I was content to see the progression. The problem now is progression almost means jack shit because if you develop a kid he is going to shake you down or transfer.

I got this way with basketball when one and done got so prevalent but I think NIL has actually helped BBall because kids stay longer so you have that continuity connection. For example yes Auburn was great this year but almost the entire team had been there 2 to 3 years and one 5. All but 1 of the starters were from last year’s team.

Football is losing that continuity.

Could be a total reset to the market,
I keep thinking that. But nothing indicates it is going to slow down.

You are an attorney so correct me if I’m wrong. But isn’t the market going to have to be the entity to correct this? I think anything they do trying to limit it through “rule making” (for lack of a better term) will be challenged legally in a New York minute. No?

This dude just needs to take his L and take less money. It's still enough to have him on easy Street his whole life with what he has already gotten.

Something tells me he is going to double down on stupid though and do something like "sit out and prepare for next year's draft"

So far everyone that was talked about is out - UNC, Tulane, Texas Tech. That leaves OkSU and UCLA? Sheesh. This is great.

It would be hilarious if he ended up at a place such as Fresno State or UNLV.

I do feel bad for the kid. He is what, 19 or 20 years old? This isn't a pro making life decisions with his agent. This is a kid whose family saw dollar signs and tried to take advantage.

Amen

their first priority should be getting paid as much money as they can
Their first priority should be getting to the program that's going to prepare them best for the pros. The NIL is going to be there, a 19-21 year old doesn't need $4m a year when they're already getting $2.5m a year. This is blatant greed and it looks like it may end up costing him big time.
