I was watching that exact moment of that game live. That was during a timeout as they were preparing for an offensive zone faceoff with the goalie pulled. I don't know whose call it was (maybe hers or Bylsma) but they put Shane Wright in the circle to take the draw. The NHL puppy Wright was 6 of 18 in the dot on the game. You absolutely have to win that draw, you have the entire lineup at your disposal (because of the timeout) and you roll out the guy with the WORST faceoff success rate to the dot? :headscratch: Subsequently, they lost the draw, the Blues cleared the zone and the Kraken never reestablished zone possession before the clock hit zeroes. Whatever strategy Jessica drew up there was utterly useless largely because of that personnel decision. (I actually texted my brother right after that moment that whoever made that decision should be fired after one game on the job.)

We both know the answer. Cant fire the first woman bench coach after 1 season, even though she was directly tied to the HC

Yo dawg I’m gonna let you finish, but baseball had female assistant coaches four years before hockey did and there’s a shit ton more of em too. The NFL too.

If anything the NHL is keeping the patriarchy alive the best.
