What was your first car?

'81 Buck Regal. Mine had over 100k on it and the dash lights would turn off without notice. Was horrible in the snow
I'm willing to be it was bad in the rain and dry surfaces too. Wow, you must've had nerves of steel. Or at least confidence that the 3,000 lbs of metal would save your life.

This is not it but it looked just like this one. It was not running because it had a bad coil. The seller didn't have a clue and jumped at my $50 offer. Changed the coil and drove it for 6 months and then pulled the 4 banger out and dropped a 289 out of a Ford Galaxy I found in a salvage yard.

You are right. It was so disproportionate with the weight just a dusting of snow or slick surface and I was a spinnin'

My '70 was this color green with the black racing stripes, but it didn't have the vinyl top.
It had the cowl induction hood.
Mickey Thompson 50's on the rear. They didn't get around for shit in the snow.

Love the early 70's SS's. My Dad went through a classic car phase and had a '72 for a few years. I loved that car and was really disappointed when he sold it

'77 LeMans is the first car I can remember my parents having. This isn't the same one. It was a real dark blue with white vinyl interior. To this day my Dad will say that was the worst car he ever had.

The first new car I ever bought was a 1977 Can Am
It was a wonderful car. No problems at all.

Straight 6 was a great engine! I had an '89 Ford 150 with one. That thing is prolly still running somewhere
I’ve had really good luck with my vehicles. Only turd I’ve ever had was an 89 F-150, but it had the 302 V8.

Weak as hell and would nickel and dime you to death. It was a nice looking truck, but it sat for two years before I got it, and never could get all the gremlins worked out. Finally just gave it to my brother, and he put a lift kit on it that just made the problems worth. He suckered some poor 16 year old into buying it.

My '89 was just a V6. 4 sp with overdrive 4x4 and the short bed. That thing had some balls because it was geared so low. Ford had some defects with the paint around those years. After I washed it there would be blue powder on the towels

I’ve got an 84 F-250 with the 460 big block right now(not my daily driver) it’s technically a 4 speed, in practice is a 3 speed. First gear is pretty much a granny gear that you only use if you’re pulling a real heavy load or starting up a very steep hill, and once you’re in 4th, it’s basically an automatic until you stop
