I have some fundraiser in DC tonight. Not super excited about it but hoping I can put a bid on a good bottle of bourbon or something.

playing in a scramble tomorrow with some friends. That will be fun.

If someone was going to make a national holiday for VD, guess it makes sense.

I have two things to report.

1) This morning, I turned a corner in the locker room and there was a guy with his back to me, completely naked and hairy af except for his ass cheeks. He was also short. Dude looked like an Ewok with a shaved ass.

2) Lately here at the office, there's been some guy not flushing the urinal. I want to leave a sign in there reminding folks to flush and also drink more water. Mother fucker is leaving liquid rust in the urinal.

Baseball practice tonight. Our biggest problem right now is defense. Going to try a few mini-game type drills to see if I can get the kids into it a bit more.

Tipping is out of hand. Why do i now have to tip at places that have done nothing but hand me a sandwich?

I don't have the patience for baseball. Its the only sport my son is not allowed to play

Played it most of my life growing up

Because business owners have realized they can use those tips to offset employee compensation that they should be paying.

Same reason there are so many "cashless" establishments now. It's a benefit to the owners.

no one is making you tip...you can always mark it zero, dude.

I think it's a carry-over from COVID. More people wanted to tip, so more places started putting out a tip jar. I think in a lot of these places they don't count on tips to make up their income, but I'm so far removed from working there that I couldn't tell you for sure.

I agree with that, but it also helps business owners pay their employees less.

Why do you hate America, stakes?
Yeah, and why won't he let his son find out who he is?

I think soccer and basketball are about as gay as sports can get, but I let -- and encouraged to a degree -- my son try them both.

I don't agree with that.

I think they see it as a ploy. If they put it out there, more than likely customers are going to tip...so why not take advantage of it. It's MORE money for their employees, I don't think it is meant to offset their actual pay

I guess, they may be able to weasel their way out of not giving raises above minimum wage because of tips at a sandwich shop. Or the owner takes the money and adds it to the payroll account directly. I don't know a restaurant owner with this setup to ask.

The only thing I'm currently a hard no on is tackle football, because I don't trust another parent with my kid's brain health and I don't want to deal with the number of parents that football coaching requires.

Bless your heart.
