Grow a pair. You live in Oklahoma. We've already been that high twice in South Dakota.
 
Louisiana has moved north to Illinois. High of 90 with dew point in mid-70s on Thurday.

NEW: The National Weather Service in Chicago says that the dust storm yesterday could be classified as a "Haboob". A Haboob is an intense dust storm caused by strong winds lofting a wall of dust as high as 5,000 feet, leading to a significant reduction in visibility and an increase in wind speed following the passage of the leading edge of the haboob. They also usually lead to blowing dust that lasts for tens of minutes or even several hours.
Typically, Haboobs occur in desert and semi-arid areas, but an extremely unique combination of ingredients with very dry air aloft caused intense downbursts to crash to the ground well ahead of storms. This, combined with low relative humidity, low soil moisture and farming activity that regularly occurs at this time of year led to the vivid and intense wall of dust spotted by many. The Haboob was this wall of dust running east-west, stretching from I-39 near Bloomington all the way into Western Indiana, lifting north quickly and making it all the way into Lake Michigan.
Top wind gusts included 78 mph on Lake Michigan by Chicago, 75mph in Oxford, IN, 69 mph at Willard Airport, 68 mph in Bloomington, 64 mph in South Chicago, 61 mph in Decatur, 60 mph at Midway Airport and 55 mph in Joliet.
The last time Chicago was impacted by such a significant dust storm was during the Dust Bowl on May 10th, 1934.

Yeah, that big low pressure is supposed to move through here late tonight and into tomorrow making for potential severe weather. They're saying just potential for high winds and hail for now, but I assume tornado's for others south and east.
It's supposed to cool us down into the mid/upper 50's for daytime highs Tuesday and Wednesday. The propane tank is still at 35% so no biggie on running the furnace.

I have yet to turn on my AC this year. The highest the house has gotten is 77° a couple days ago, but the ceiling fan did enough to keep things comfortable. Looking at the long range it looks like I won't be needing AC for at least another 10 days.

Samesies, fam. Spring’s been mostly just wind and rain so far. We haven’t hit 80* degrees once so far this whole year (that I’ve seen) and it’s the middle of May.

I think it was last Spring (might’ve been 2023, idk) when I know we hit 90* degrees once or twice in April.

But these things do seem to mostly even out. So, record high temps for most of the US this summer.

We had like 88° or 89° for a couple days late last week, but my house is insulated well and it wasn't high enough humidity to make things uncomfortable.
As long as the humidity stays reasonable I can just open the windows at night to cool things down, then close things up first thing in the morning to keep the cool in.

I keep my thermostat at 70° in the winter and it's still set on heat. I expect the furnace will occasionally kick on mid-week with highs in the mid-upper 50's.
I ain't lighting the wood burner or the fireplace or I'll be opening the windows to cool it down in here. LOL

We've been in 'Moderate' drought since last fall.
It was 'Exceptional' drought 2 years ago. We've been gradually climing out of it since.

I’ve been in severe drought here. Finally got some rain tonight. Actually had a dust storm warning the other day.

Yeah, I noticed the dust blowing out here the other day. Recently planted fields and little to no moisture to settle the soil in.

Other than the late blizzard, winter was drier than a popcorn fart.
