Here's a scene from the original 1984 version that explains why the emperor is attacking Aracus, and was ordered by the Guild to kill Paul.

Essence of the plot, ignored in the new version. Shame!!!

 
Started Wicked with my daughter last night and fell a sleep. So boring and I can’t believe they are making another movie because they split it in two parts.

They should have condensed the two and gotten on with the story.

I haven't seen it yet. Haven't seen the play either. I've heard they added quite a bit to it and the additions weren't terrible. That was just from one person though, but one i generally trust in this type of thing.

Play is incredible the movie is annoying.
 
Havoc on Netflix

Fountain of Youth on Apple

Won’t give an official rating as I didn’t finish either movie.

Havoc actually had a decent opening chase scene but the rest of the movie was meh. It is watchable but I have no need to go back and finish it.

Fountain of Youth was intriguing with Guy Richie but the writing is atrocious and John Krasinski is miscast and too goofy for the lead role. Was hoping for a National Treasure/Indy movie but no luck.
 
Finally watched the new Capt America movie since it is free on Disney+

I'd have been pissed if I paid to see that. It may have been worse than the first Hulk movie. In the very first scene I knew it was going to be bad when a character had to ask another about a person and then explain who that person is...which was the guys daughter. No one ever asks "How's betty, your daughter". :L

3/10, and only a 3 because there are worse movies out there. This is basically a 3 graded on a curve.

I stumbled across it on YouTube just a week or 2 after it opened in the theaters. No idea how it stayed active on YT long enough for me to finish it, but it was.

I was glad I didn’t have to pay for it. A bit of a nit pick, but the extra acting during the White House press conference was atrocious. The “terrified” crowd just seemed to meander about with no real urgency. Those little details can really take me out of a scene.

Super Cringe tragedy that plays like a dark comedy. It is acted very very well. It’ll even get you thinking. Recommend.

The first Accountant, I didn’t like, but it stuck with me. So, I went back and watched it again. There’s lots to the sequels that looks like it was just made for the trailer, and the plot is a bit convoluted. Still, it got better as it went along

The score, stilted dialog, bad editing, bad sound production… did I mention the score… all make it feel like a terrible b-movie.
It has gotten high ratings, but you should just read the bad ones on rotten tomatoes. They nail it.

Yup, it was decent, certainly not great. Affleck and Berthnal's chemistry is great, they really did sound like bickering brothers. The plot etc however was convoluted and never really made sense. Also Affleck is definitely showing his age, that's probably why there wasn't much hand to hand fighting.

The scene where he gamed the dating app and later was line dancing were funny though.

Wife-n-I watched this with the granddaughter,she loves this movie,she is 4 and has all the toys and such.
Well,I didnt really watch it,just went thru all the motions whike sifting thru my phone....
Too me its just another dumb musical with Ariana Grande playing a ditzie blonde.....best I got out of it.
 
One Shot(Prime) with Sam Rockwell as a hunter who shot at a deer,as so he thought but hit a drug dealers gf and stole their loot.......so of course the chase is on..

The ending is as dumb as the movie......4/10

The first movie was great. The second was about the best you can do with that type of sequel which is don’t completely screw up and make it fun.

My two big issues were the fight scenes were stupid and they didn’t have to be and they never use terms like autism or spectrum and that would have been nice for the general public to get some education on the topic.

These movies are important because they do spotlight autism and show people that people on the spectrum have a purpose even though they have quirks.

I have never seen Lilo and Stitch. Came out when I was starting to grow out of those cartoon style Disney movies. But I have heard some bad things about the new live action remake. Ppl were saying that the original had a strong emphasis on family and this remake focuses on looking out for yourself regardless of family.

Again, I have no idea either way having not seen either of them. But I love to hear that movies have a strong family notion throughout so it's sad to hear that has been thrown out for what they claimed as perceived 'female empowerment at the expense of family'.
 
Captain America Brave New World - sucks. Just terrible and Mackie is just not a leading actor... or this just isn't a leader role type of character. This honestly felt like Michael Bay trying to do a Marvel movie. Not good. 4/10

Accountant 2 - I don't understand the hype. It's got so funny moments and Bernthal and Affleck are good actors, but this story is kinda whack and their characters just seem wildly different than from the first film. Meh. 5/10.
