I am noticing something different this year ... more and more players are cancelling officials and closing down their recruitment. We had three of our top recruits do this this in the last couple of days. They are actually announcing so on social media, see below. We just had a couple players cancel trips to tOSU, TX, etc. I am pretty sure that it is the contracts they are being given that at some point says you can get some more money if you close things down.

isn't he still going to Columbus this weekend though? He's still on the list for the following weekend in Austin too.. I personally don't think he will actually return to Austin

According to the paid boards he has shut down. TBH, Kirby has always been and "go and take your officials and then come back" type of guy. I just think with the fact that they have a budget to work within now may make it so that they will try to get kids to truly commit so they can decide how much they have to spend elsewhere. Let's say they have $6 million for HS recruits,and $9 million for the roster ... you kind of have to know what you have to spend on the 30-ish guys you are going after.
