The baseless hype and hilarious Cam Newton/Patrick Mahomes comparisons in the offseason were classic.

The guy completed under 50% in high school and has never shown that he can put any touch on the football, he pretty much thinks you have to throw the ball as hard as you can on every attempt.

Its almost as if anyone outside of the Michigan bubble could see that he wouldnt be anything more than average......if even that.

Don’t we hear every year from sports writers about how great Michigan offense looks during spring ball and then they get to live opponents and it is usually found lacking.

maybe they look good in the spring because they are playing against their defense?

Coming in their secondary was a huge known issue. Also the Dline had serious depth problems.

So its not shocking a QB and WRs might look way better than they actually are practicing against that mess they got going on defense at the moment.
 
Refs stole the game away from Purdue on the final play, doesnt get much worse than that call

Yea it was a terrible terrible terrible terrible call. Like it is one thing to bitch that the refs stole the game, but the refs LITERALLY STOLE THE GAME from Purdue
