Ranking 17 Chain Steak Houses

I always get chicken fried steak if I'm at Roadhouse. Been a long time since I went, though that goes for most places.
Yeah I haven't been to most of these either other than Longhorn because I have a friend who serves there.

Surprised to hear Outback's gone downhill.

Outback has. The Outback Special (sirloin) used to be a decent piece of steak for a reasonable price and wash it down with a 20oz fosters. Now it's not even something I care to eat. It was the last chain you could get me you go to that wasn't a sports bar.

We used to hold our fantasy football draft at the Logan Steakhouse but it closed since then.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse was where we got to go once a year on anniversary dinner at Exxon. Once a year the department head took you to eat a free steak and have a few cocktails on the company.

Been going to Texas Roadhouse lately and it's a decent place to get a steak when you don't feel like cooking and want to eat out.

Is Steak and Ale still around.
They all went out of business years ago around here.

I liked what they had, but that was 40 years ago.

I remember when they actually brought you a made to order salad. Then they went to a salad bar, and it went downhill from there.

Cattlemans Steakhouse isn't a chain, but it's down in Stockyard City, and has been for a hundred years.

The only reason to go to Applebee's is to get thrown out or to drink your sorrows away when your son comes out of the closet.
Sounds like this comes from personal experience.

There's a small chain of those out here... probably not affiliated though.

Wait .... Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn in the top 10?

lebron james what GIF by SB Nation
Questioning Texas Roadhouse being in the top 10 is a fair argument, but they are HANDS DOWN much better than shitty ass Longhorn...how anybody could Longhorn at #4 is completely laughable to me

Ruth Chris is great, but I havent been in forever

does logan's still serve those ridiculously strong long island iced teas where they limit patrons to no more than 2 or 3 per visit? about 20 years ago, i had two of those bad boys in the middle of the day and i was three sheets to the wind until the next morning.

I know Lawrys is a prime rib place but they do have a decent steak which is my go to whenever I go there. A bit fatty but decent enough

Only one on the list I've visited more than once is Texas Roadhouse. (And Logans, but that's just to drink.)

Miss you Ponderosa.

Hyde Park should be on the list in the top 10.

I have an ex from highschool that is a waitress at the local texas roadhouse. I like to get shit faced drunk there and write "you got more than just the tip" on the tip line when she brings me my ticket.
That explains why she said “could have fooled me” under her breath after reading it.
