Starting to snow here. In the 1 to 5 inch range it seems. Some say 1 to 3 and others are saying 3 to 5. Not ready for that crap. I hate driving in it because everything takes so much longer. I'm ready to just skip December through February/early March.
 
watched the joker finally, didn't care for it.

For thanksgiving just me and Mrs. Pnk. I made a turkey breast on grill, turned out pretty good. Dry brined it and injected it. Was happy with the results. Saturday smoked top round roast for roast beef sandwiches

Latest forecast is claiming 4-6 here. I think they over estimate personally but it is what it is

I used the Traeger kit. Included a brine that I did for probably 20 hours. Then smoked for 2.5 hours at 225 and then roasted at 325 for 2 hours.

Amazingly, the turkey was the first thing done... so I had it sitting on the smoker for almost an hour on warm waiting for everything else. Bird never got above 172.

I saw over the weekend that Weber has a pellet grill now. I'd consider one of those...

also, Pnk got a new smoker.

The basset hound is making an unGodly howl that gets the neighbor out, who also jumps on the literal dogpile. I bring my dog inside but by the time I got back, they had broken it up. Sister's bf pulled the German Shepherd's jaws apart and got the dog free.

No blood, just a puncture or two on the basset. Took her to the vet, some bruises but will be ok.

God dogs are such a pain in the ass. Glad hers is okay, though.

I love having a dog, but I really hate poorly trained dogs. Hers doesn't listen when called.

We had planned to have the mother-in-law, brother in law, 1 of the daughters and her best friend, myself, the wife and my son.

Then, everyone got sick. Mother-in-law and wife got some stomach bug, daughter got the Covid and her friend had a cold. BIL decided to avoid everyone being sick and had Thanksgiving with his Dad.

Ended up being my son and I (wife ate a little bit) and I dropped off "care packages" to the MIL and the daughter.

ugh. too much hassle for my tastes. i like dogs, but just as long as they're NOT my dog, lol. and yes, i have absolutely no patience for ill-behaved/poorly-trained canines.

Christmas decorations outside are almost done. Need to get a spotlight or 2 for the front and waiting on some lights for the back fence. Wife is still debating on putting an inflatable or something else on the deck roof.

Inside decorations are waiting on me painting the foyer. It was fun being up on an 18 foot ladder yesterday cutting in. Hoping to roll the walls today after work.
