Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

Wake up men, it's fooballt game day. Noah Vedral may play and boy does he have something to prove to against his former formers. My prediction 0-0 before the game starts - who the hell knows what happens after that? Word is that so many B1G Administrators do not want football bowl games played this year that Nebraska might get a bowl game which might be played as early as next week with our great record.
 
This has been, probably, the most disappointing season I've ever been thru. I'll watch tonight, but mostly because it'll be better than no football at all.
As far as a bowl game, again, better than none at all.
This coming off season will be horrible. For the first time ever, I'll actually dread the upcoming season because I want it to be successful. Recent history tells me, tho, that it will be another disappointment.

Not even feeling it this basketball season. The crowds make it fun. Not much fun when the coaches are the loudest part of the game.

Does anyone hear/think they can get a bowl invite?? I know things are different this year, anyone can go, so any chance??

Rumors are it was up to players if wanted to accept a bowl bid if asked and they voted No

I’m baffled by this. As an athlete and a competitor why wouldn’t you want a bowl game? You fought just to play a regular season and now if a bowl game is an option you say no? Huskers need the practices and game experience.

Must speak to how exhausted this team (along with a lot of others I bet) are from just the daily toll of COVID and testing protocols etc. Emotional, mental and physical grind.
 
I don't blame them. This has been a tough year. I think Frost said that some haven't seen their families since March or April. That is tough on anyone, let alone players. All the covid protocol and testing would wear on anybody.
 
Yeah I agree. these are still kids (kind of) 18,19, 20 years old and if they have not been home for 9-10 months, just end it. I'm sure there is a degree of burn out as well with way the season has gone. Let them get home of 4-5 weeks and start the prep for 2021. I'm just hoping to see some type of improvement next year, schedule sets up for at least a .500 season (never thought I would put that as the bar for Huskers in a season). Does anyone know amount of 1-2 deep players on roster are retuning next year?
 
I don't know, man. If I was a senior or knew this was going to be my last year of playing college football or last year of football period, I would want the chance to strap it on one last time.

I'm not blaming them for their decision, just surprised I guess. But I can only imagine what a grind it was day in and day out with COVID restrictions and testing and zero social life or escape and not seeing your family since March.
