I've given PUBG a second chance recently and played probably like 15 rounds. I have a total of 0 kills and 1 assist in those 15 games. I just can't grasp this game at all. It's way too fucking big and there's way too much fucking camping. I don't even know if it's best played in third person view or first person view? ANY fucking tips?
First person is for sure the way to go.
There will be camping sore sure, especially solo games but I still enjoy those games.
It has a very steep learning curve. My advice would be to play some death match games. They don't last long but give you a very good opportunity to at least get a feel for the guns and learn to control their various recoils.
When you get aiming down then start to try aiming for heads first. Obviously do the most damage to the head. Make sure to stock up on meds. Some of the SMGs (MPK5 and UMP45) I would take over an AR and pair it with a sniper rifle. Bolt action snipers will kill/knock on a single heads hot unless the person is wearing a level 3 helmet. Non bolt actions won't but of course you can hit a few more shots in a shorter period of time with those so all preference.
Whatever guns you use, attachments are essential.
With maps you just have to learn them over time. Starting out I would suggest trying to land somewhere far from the flight path and unless you're trying to get into some immediate shit to pick a spot off the beaten path that isn't part of a big town to give yourself the best chance of safely looting an area. After that proceed with caution entering any building and assume there is someone hiding in one. Unless you're deep in a circle and you want to hide until the end game it's probably better to find some natural cover outside and exist within that. The more buildings you enter later in the game the higher your chances of being taken out by a camper.
It's such a sandbox game of different ways to play it and different ways to win. The more expierence you have with it the better you will become. I love the vehicles. They all handle differently and some of them can be extremely useful.
Here are some cool recent game play videos of me.
An end game in a tank with multiple people. Last team tries to throw a C4 and missed my tank eventually the C4 kills their last living squad member.
The coolest moment flying a plane that I have had in the game so far:
Highlights from an 8 kill solo win I had.
